Guys, I happens to have few friends planning to buy GW2, recently lots of local distributor bringing in EU copies, so I was in doubt, I'm pretty sure Malaysia in NA region, I created a ticket regarding this issue this is what I got from the reply
So, I checked, it was pretty obvious Malaysia in NA region (since I saw United States in the list). So what will happen to those who bought EU copies from local distributor?

It's possible to get support to help you change to NA

cry as they watch other ppl play while waiting for support to settle their problem.

Any source confirming this? Since NA copy around RM200 and EU copy is around RM150, people might be taking advantage of this.

I doubt ArenaNet will help you change region unless you have solid evidence of your residency in Europe and Malaysia. Don't try to cheat, you won't get help. And yes, you do need to prove to them that you are a traveller.

Yeah even if they do help people change their region, don't abuse it just because EU is cheaper

So, those seller bringing in EU copy trying to get free bucks if not, trying to make local player disappointed on opening day? I'm trying to submit a reply to the ticket, but it takes so long to submit a reply, keep on loading.

Yes, it is now all fine and dandy, since A.Net is all nice and let you change to NA version without extra costs.

Then suddenly they got swamped with these requests, and they figured out everyone that are requesting this is from SEA, and then they refused to entertain these type of request.

Plus, it's not going to be a one-day, settle. Should take a few days, no.


EDIT: 2 BWE and 1 Stress Test. I still don't know what profession I am going to play, sigh.

One of the seller says that EU copies is playable in Malaysia, also stated he will refund if it does not work. Wonder why they're taking the risk selling EU copies while it's clearly Malaysia is inside NA region.

They only want profit. Whatever they say is bullsh!t since I asked myself, being a student in the UK.

I played in Ehmry Bay and yesterday feels like wanna travel to another realm (forgot the name d) to join PvE with my fren. Tried to transfer server but require 1600 gems which I dont have.

So I did asked my fren to invite me or something, but he just couldnt do it cuz either he dint know how to do or it is unavailable/disable during this BWE?

So far tried WvWvW. Just not my cup of tea. Too clusterfuq and made game laggy
PvP havent tried yet.

IMO, 1600 gems for realm transfer is kinda expenvie as gems are very hard to obtain and it is expensive to buy!
And we have to determine and decide in what realm we r gonna play during the game launch, this is important or u will end feels like playing alone
