1- should i rent a car at the airport or go cenang and rent there?

2 - anything to do at night? is there any pasar malam on monday and tuesday night?

3 - target/purpose: cable car, tasik daayng bunting, some alcohol...

4 - where is the best shop/place to buy alcohol? target some JW

hi guys, just back from Langkawi, wanna share something hopefully be of use to everyone

shopping:

i found that each place may have its own advantage. this shop may have this item cheap, the other shop may have another item cheap. i think they are trying to make everyone going to every shop...

the newly opened Cenang Mall is actually quite competitive in terms of pricing. Johnny Walker sell quite cheap compared to Kuah. example is the 4 bottle collectors set, which i didnt buy, is just RM250 at Cenang Mall, while at Kuah its about 270. Even a Red Label is just RM37. this is just display price, maybe can nego for better pricing at Kuah, i dont know.

as for me, quite happy to get myself a Green Label and a Jack Daniel Honey



as for food, we found these places quite good and pricing not bad. these 2 places are Fish Farm in Kuah and Casablanca in Cenang.

langkawi lala is very fat and juicy, i like . i live in penang. also cenang beach is quite good for night walks. maybe bbq...

the surprise this trip was not the cable car, it was the Telaga Tujuh waterfalls. look at photos cant describe this place, must go if you have time.


btw the skybridge is closed for maintenance

try to go telaga tujuh waterfall. worth the climb. plan for a picnic there
