Hi all..

Would like to ask... if say my modem ADSL light is showing steady... but PPPoE is not connecting, does it mean that maybe my port has been blocked or closed?

Hi, I'm using a Riger DB102 modem. Recently I found out about this site, and logged in to my modem for the first time. I noticed on the home page of my modem, it says that my DSL Up speed is 256 Kbps, and my Down speed is 512 Kbps. However, my connection is supposed to be a 1 mbps connection. Is this sufficient proof that I have been miscapped? What actions should I take? Attached is a picture of my modem page.

Hi there.
I am thinking about registering
1Mb Streamyx package.
My friend told me about taking
the "own wiring" service which
I need to pay extra Rm300+ for the
"wiring".
She said that the performance is better
as disconnections is less happening.

Actually I am not really sure about this.
Is anyone know about this? Please
give comments and suggestions
regarding this matter.

Thanks..

Supersonic_666, I think that's a rather good speed you're getting. On a good day, my 1 mbps package gives me 512 kbps dl, and 256 upload. Anyone have anything on my own problem?

Yeah.. I think my house is quite old.
Built in 1985. Some more, it is located
in village area which is a little bit far
from town.. Luckily it have telephone
connection and I checked the streamyx
coverage using the sms method and my
area is covered. Fuh.. smile.gif

So I guess I need to pay the extra Rm300
isn't?

I have used test.my to test my internet speed and this is what I got.
Which one to believe, Speedtest.net or testmy.net?
Because both of them give different results.
Please help me...

My package is 1 MB, but after changing it to 2MB, my SNR margin drop down to 14 and then less than 5 after 1-2 hours. When complaint, they said it's about the connection cable between my house and TM Ibusawat is not good and still use copper wire. They blame the cable completely, can it acceptable?

Is it true SNR margin is about cable and not about other part? EG : DSLAM? or TMNET Connection Centre?

Thank you sweat.gif
