funny ahh korang. i've a 6 year old gen2, i have done 220k in it. and i've never had any problems with it.
i know a friend who has a 5 series. after 3 years and only less than 100k on the clock, his gb died. everyone complains fc is very high; but as long as i get average fc, my spare parts are cheap, and i can find a foreman anywhere in malaysia to fix my car if and if shit happens, im ok. Problems happens when people dont follow the recomended service, listen to the mechanic blindly without getting a second opinion, and in rare cases not using quality spare parts. i now have the bold cfe. and i've no issue. the engine is decent. the gb is decent. the car is spacious for the money spent. my monthly cost to run the car is cheap and within reason. for what i want to spend more than 100k for a car that is still below 2 litre, and consumes slightly less petrol then proton ( at most also save 20 bucks per refuel) but costs a lot more to mantain ? |

QUOTE(aisamuddin87 @ Apr 25 2012, 09:40 AM) 1. i dont see many.many who yell that doesnt even own a proton in the first place.just pure bashers.typical malaysian just like u! no6..during launch proton MD did compare preve performance to 2.0 NA cars..as for me, let the car speak for itself..if the car is good, public will know..if u compare it public will put high expectation to it..and once something is not up to their expectation, they'll be disappointed..and when they disappointed they wont be happy..and when they're not happy they'll say negative towards proton 2. errr...business101..i believe that its called MARKETING 3. I believe that many more did not now that VW just launched a new sedan 4. did u even read this thread or just went in to bash? 5. thats total bullsh** and seeing it coming from u, totally understood =) 6. since when did proton badmouth/compare/downplay? CONCLUSION: GET OUT.ur just an idiot. No matter how much u bark, we noe u just butthurt bcos u just bought a vios =P |

QUOTE(stinger82 @ Apr 25 2012, 09:31 AM) ONE photo in facebook says it all, and to add salt to the wound, its on the first week of launching, and a lot of ppl have no idea proton are launching new car, until the photo hit facebook. so much so for the marketing. I dont know which jungle you live in but I visited three showrooms on the day it was launched itself and it was full to the brim. One of the showroom even serve refreshments. |

Heard a few weeks back there's one Bold CFE that has GB issue and make it to the local newspaper. Is that even true? i know a friend who has a 5 series. after 3 years and only less than 100k on the clock, his gb died. everyone complains fc is very high; but as long as i get average fc, my spare parts are cheap, and i can find a foreman anywhere in malaysia to fix my car if and if shit happens, im ok. QUOTE(mr_boonez @ Apr 25 2012, 10:05 AM) +1Recommended service should not be treated lightly by those who love to see their car to have a top notch performance. Got one friend who's his father foolishly/blindly believe whatever his PA said and even asked his PA to buy used car to his son. What happened is that, he got a car at RM40K that has 130K mileage paid in CASH. What the heck? We just need to open our eyes more and read forum like this one.. |

(instant power) steering was heavy indeed! like not power steering. the handbrake is very skinny & small liked kancil ones.. once sit in the car...the feeling was so, so only... the rear trunk boot remote is not functioning well....need to wait more than a minute to open the boot (just a small range of unlocked, not even open till half!) i am surprised how proton bravely declared this car is a their 1st global car!....for me perdana, persona is much better then this car....sorry to say all those nice features are + the pricing + s mode(turbo) are the main selling points...other then that you dont get a good feeling in this car....peace out! |
