i dunno prtn putting oil cooler to mitsu cvt, just knowing that they used air cooler from front bumper that designed to cool the cvt coz mitsu dont allow them to do any modification on drive@pwrtrain.

Punch cvt has oil cooler, vt2 has lower cooling capacity while vt3 as in bold n preve has higher cooling capacity.

Dont misunderstand what kristof said. He mentioned, in EXTREME conditioned when climbing uphil a long the way without stopping at below 10kmh speed. Like u drive BELOW 10kmh straight away from genting sempah until u park at 1st world. Of course if bad jem, u have to stop for a while, n push the lever to neutral will cool the cvt. And of course how bad is genting jam, u still driving more than 10kmh.

If driving under 10kmh all the way to 1st world theme park without any stopping n not exceeding 10kmh, not only cvt, amt, dsg, powershift, manual, the clutch will burn coz u cant lift the clutch completely under that speed.

From stagnant to move, no matter flat or uphill, dont worry, it wont stress the cfe engine. It will feel the same. Coz when its already on the move, 205nm torque already available at 2k rpm. U can ask any bold cfe owners out there. Its really relaxful drive even in d, unless u want to go agressive, then put s mode(not encourage coz s mode is not designed for fc though, more on power by sharping the throttle response, 20% increase in rpm compare to d mode).

Meaning that, going uphil genting, u dont need to rev more than 3k rpm, even 2k rpm is enough. Then u will know the diff between 2.0 na versus this cap ayam 1.6 cfe.

Even flx also dont have probs going genting, but L mode(same as s mode) is the best for flx coz the torque is lesser, while flx se dont have much prob going uphill genting, even in d mode.

And this punch cvt using steel belting (people always talk about timing chain is better than timing belt, yadayadayada), n this is steel belting cvt, not rubber belting cvt as in inspira, thats why no rubberband effect. Thats why im speechless when somebody talk about rubberband effect on punch cvt.

For the time being, Future of cvt is using wet clutch, thats why now new nissan xtronic using clutch n upcoming honda's cvt. But beyond that, dunno. U think punch is ayam brand :-). Check the history, they are the pioneer of cvt. Wah, u think prtn dont do research and analysis 1st maa.... :-). Better check mitsu in china n taiwan, the newesr cvt they used for the market coz many complaints on previous cvt by ... :-)...

after all these while, ppl here still do not understand.

there is no need for proton to compare with any car, from its own rebadge inspira to myvi vios city,altis, 308 civic,lancer forte mazda3.

if they can make existing persona/gen2/savvy buyer continue to buy the next car from them, they are successful.

1.look at how many ppl yelling ,this will be my last proton!

2.and stop all the propaganda on cvt,turbo,torque,power, handling.

3.ONE photo in facebook says it all, and to add salt to the wound, its on the first week of launching, and a lot of ppl have no idea proton are launching new car, until the photo hit facebook. so much so for the marketing.

4.to fight vios, they need low end power( no sluggish feeling, test drive myvi if you do not understand), and they need good FC car.

5.omg when i saw 1.3 saga has FC that can match 2liter civic. 10km/liter? seriously?

6.the first thing they should do is stop badmouth/compare/downplay all the competitor. seriously proton are just competing with perodua and they are not having an upper hand, hence they need DSZ from perodua to help them.

do you know what proton needs? Word of mouth. not test drive experience that goes 190km/h.(hence the accident photo )

one year later if the car is good, sales will go up. not a launching hype and downplay every competitor.

no6..during launch proton MD did compare preve performance to 2.0 NA cars..as for me, let the car speak for itself..if the car is good, public will know..if u compare it public will put high expectation to it..and once something is not up to their expectation,they'll be disappointed..and when they disappointed they wont be happy..and when they're not happy they'll say negative towards proton

test drove it...i would like to say 1 thing, proton has top ready for global yet...and only good thing from preve is the S mode drive.

funny ahh korang. i've a  6 year old gen2, i have done 220k in it. and i've never had any problems with it.
i know a friend who has a 5 series. after 3 years and only less than 100k on the clock, his gb died. everyone complains fc is very high; but as long as i get average fc, my spare parts are cheap, and i can find a foreman anywhere in malaysia  to fix my car if and if shit happens, im ok.
Problems happens when people dont follow the recomended service, listen to the mechanic blindly without getting a second opinion, and in rare cases not using quality spare parts.
i now have the bold cfe. and i've no issue. the engine is decent. the gb is decent. the car is spacious for the money spent. my monthly cost to run the car is cheap and within reason. for what i want to spend more than 100k for a car that is still below 2 litre, and consumes slightly less petrol then proton ( at most also save 20 bucks per refuel) but costs a lot more to mantain ?

Let's see how proton do globally. Just wait reviews from international journalist. If they say good then its good cos most of the time they dont bias

why leceh?
1)kena involve some1 else...need to ask persuade them to be the guarantor...means we have to disturb some1 else...
2)need to go together to the bank to sign the agreement...
3)if anything happen,sure dah burden that guarantor. depend on who is the guarantor,ur relationship with the guarantor can be at stake..

at least,those 3 things la...luckily for me,even my waja don't need a guarantor...full settlement edy...

many do, timing belt would normally require change after 100K km but not chain belt.
i would prefer chain belt as it is more convenient in that sense.

Just took car around 4.30 just now. check everything good. welding at doors all same sure got two dots of welding on four doors. all finishing good. only thing now when i try full blast my air cond seems like got whistle sound maybe too powerful or is it suppose to be like that. other than that everything looks good and secure.
