I think got con by the tyre shop to adjust the chamber and change the nuts. Sucks man..Im really noob about car..They took it for granted.

Btw, may u suggest any Proton SC in KL area (if u know) that have reputable alligment service that we can believe with?

Not a Proton Service Center. But may be you can try this shop to do alignment.

My friend said he had do alignment without adding chamber screw...

Proton Preve test drive.
Dlm bentuk soal jawab supaya lain dari paultan.

Amcam design preve?
Agak menarik.
Warna apa yang ngam?
Merah mcm mengancam.
Interior mcm mana, dgrnya besar mcm civic?
Interior agak kecik, compare dgn forte boleh la. Besar sket dari persona,vios ,city,fiesta,mazda2,3, insight, prius.Takde leather seat, bole beli cover leather cap ayam. Dashboard agak basic, built in gps, tapi takde reverse cam( bole install kat luar n void waranty). Kualiti plastic yg digunakan pun agak so-so...maybe better dr cherry kot. Driver yg berbadan sasa akan rasa sempit sket diruang pemandu.

Steering amcam?
Steering ok ada button volume, paddle shift ada, cuba jentik2 sket feeling plastic. Leather wrap steering memberikan feel conti.
Macam mana dgn enjin, dgrnye CFE turbo tu hebat sgt?
Memang agak mantap enjin bwk di highway LEKAS, pickup memang superb, better than inspira 1.8 auto..bila dah 100km/j mcm kereta biasa. Tapi bunyi enjin agak mengaum sket. Sesuai dgn badge proton kot.

Pemanduan ok ke?
Ride n handling proton memang the best in class. The best untuk kereta below rm100k.

Dengarnya safety dapat 4bintang?
Utk kereta bawah 90k ,preve paling lengkap dgn safety features. 4airbags, abs, ebd and paling penting ESC(electronic stability control).

Jadi patut beli yang version mana?
Kalo nak yg berbaloi better amik yg CFE sebab enjin ngam. Yg enjin biasa tu carry over dari persona iafm+. Takut underpower.

Jadi kena beli la preve ni?
Untuk first buyer kereta memang patut la beli.
Tgk apa kereta yg ko pakai sekrang. Kalo ko dah pakai persona baik stick ngan persona je la...lebih kurang shj.
Kalo ko pakai myvi diharuskan ko tukar supaya ko tau mcm mana sebenar rasa bawak kereta.
Tapi kalo ko nak space besar baik ko top up sket amik exora bold cfe(mintak diskaun sket). Tapi kalo ko nak drive long distance better ko top up lebih lagi utk amik inspira 2.0executive rm87k dah.

Saya tgh survey kereta range vios,city,mazda2,207,forte...ke preve better..?
Org yg tau pasal kereta tak beli vios(joking)... Preve n forte je masuk list...lain semua tewas awal sebab overprice...paling ngarut harga polo sedan specs mcm saga 1.6 blm.

Betul ke Preve ni global car bang?
Andaikan preve ni mcm skuad harimau rajagopal. Menang suzuki cup AFF tapi tak layak world cup. Maybe next 4 years geng.

Saya berminat ni, mana dealer yg ok..?
Kalo berminat sila pm saya ye...test drive duluuuu
Just my opinion

Just back from second test drive session. Just to confirm the first round result.

This is the pecking order:

NVH = Inspira 2.0 > Elantra 1.8 > Preve 1.6
Performance = Inspira 2.0 >>> Preve 1.6 ≈ Elantra 1.8
Response = Inspira 2.0 > Elantra 1.8 > Preve 1.6
Handling = Inspira 2.0 >> Preve 1.6 ≈ Elantra 1.8

Overall = Inspira >> all

I'm not trolling. This is my stand. Tq.

For prtn sc, go to proton edar websites, under aftersales service, service centre, then follow the instruction. After given extensive list nearest to ur area, just noted the proton edar, phone them n asking whether they have allignment n balancing service. Hq of courselah. If still far, go to eon then. The authorised dealers normally dont have.

Today i tested drive 2 preve from different showroom. Reason is i'm not quite satisfied with the firsy drive.

My view is, interior wise i could say so-so. Nothing much to say. I'm impressed with the suspension. Just like forte. Handling wise as many say it's best at its class.

Some complaints about the sluggish pickup, i have no problem with that. I'm not racer type but CFE things really help when uphill driving.

Design wise, i think the front view really impressed me, rear view nothing much.

With rm73k i feel that preve is at the right position.

Note: don't get excited with the turbo too much.

Proton Holdings Berhad
Good morning

We are aware that there are pictures of a damaged Proton Prevé circulating around the web.

We would like to explain that the cause of the damage was actually an accident that happened around 4.45pm yesterday evening at Jalan Sentul. A sales advisor (from the PROTON showroom in Setapak) was trying to avoid an oncoming car that was in its path, and in doing so, hit and went over the road divider and landed hard - causing damage to the lower arm.

We are grateful to all the concerned people out there who has brought this up to us and hope this clears the air of what actually happened.

Have a great weekend ahead

The real story already officially written by news hub gaiz
KUALA LUMPUR: The trending image on a local forum and social sites depicting a Proton Prevé's failed suspension and tyre damage are being heavily discussed among netizens this evening.

An official statement from Proton was given by Datuk Ahmad Jingga, chief director of Proton's marketing unit, regarding this issue. The image was depicted as one way for rivaling companies to bring down Proton's name.

"There is a story behind that image. Proton's suspension and our latest technology is working just fine. During the test drive, this particular unit has hit a foreign object that instantenously damage the tire and suspension unit due to the heavy duty element of that object."

A further forensic research regarding the photo were done immediately to clear up rumours about Proton's supposedly 'failed' suspension. The official reports have depicted that foreign object as 'too strong for any mass object moving in high speed to withhold, even a BMW could not survive the ordeal'.  Datuk Ahmad Jingga has been quoted to say that the object itself is the main cause of the turmoil, and not the failure of Proton's technology.

The following are the official photos released by the laboratory depicting the foreign object that was said to be the real culprit behind this chaos.

dont ever wrap the seat with leather unless from reputable n skill cushion shop coz the side airbags are on the seat itself. For executive line, no prob.

Does Proton SC offer Leather Wrapping? blink.gif If yes, I guess sending there to do it would be the best since they are expected to know how to do it for a seat with side airbags. Of course the price would be higher compared to normal I guess O.o

Seriously why would you want to bring THAT up? I think my comparison is fair. Since Preve claims to have 2.0-like power with 1.6 engine.

I find Preve's CFE no match for Inspira's 4B11. They should stop the hype. I drove it, and I don't believe it.
