peace, dont need to have gen2 / persona / preve to compare with a vios / city. just need an entry level, the latest saga. I believe the performance is on par and the handling its much more better then them (vios/city).

the saga only loses out in some area - dont have 6 airbags? - dont have vtec or proton's own cps?

Noob questions guys.. sorry since i only drive manual kancil before cry.gif

i) Can we change the gear from D to S mode while driving or we need to do it before the driving itself
ii) S mode is auto or manual or both
iii) Let say in s mode, how to change from manual to auto again
*
this what my finding after testdrive today

1). yes u can, even u still can use paddle shifter while in D or S mode. Just when in S mode the car are more
aggressive
2). S mode not manual, this car is CVT, even u drag till 5k RPM the car will switch the virtual gear by self
3). No manual and auto again please refer 1st answer smile.gif

U think CRAPPY is all about handling? Wake up and smell the coffee lah small kid.If crappy is all about handling, toyota ,perodua all would be closing down soon.

Crappy means the quality of the parts fitted onto your lousy proton. The technology used to build ur lousy proton.

Please have a open mind and learn how to accept criticism for you to improve. No wonder lousy proton can never ever improve.
*
I have an open mind and that's why i'm selling of my vios for a Preve...is that open minded enough for you? I don't think anyone here is saying that Preve or other protons are perfect...so why the fuss about proton being crappy? Vios belting became f***ing noisy after a month!! how about that? Wasting time arguing with you

Dint ask you to read
Well, just telling the truth.Proton is really crap lah.Duno why you all can still support ...  doh.gif

perhaps u can investigate, with credible evidence and create a campaign to show the public not to buy proton.

this national car project (proton, perodua and few other 'national' car assembler) exist because gov want Malaysian to afford a car, that's it, simple as that. let aside the insider/political issues. at first we all bought because cheap la, what else.. then sadly proton & vendor hv moral issues resulting bad product. of course cannot blame buyer. but now proton improved a lot, and offer a better car. that's why we, i, and others' support.

unless you're 1% of the country, but u should try proton, their handling is top of the class for their price rclxms.gif

crap?my waja 1.6auto already reach more than 350,000KM and still doing fine...just some wear n tear parts being replaced..
*
second here, waja 2001 clocking at 338,000km and still doing 630km for a full tank, eat that. 630km / 52L, 12km / L

yeah, not the best, but still getting like this on RON 95, with RON 97 i can easily get 680 to 700km

Hmm...i think i would need to get use to that lag but honestly, i don't think that the accelerator was that lazy in D mode .. just slightly sluggish below 2000rpm ..i can live with it. Preve is better in many ways compared to my Vios ..the Accord was a 1990 5speed manual (sold it off for the Vios)
*
yup. By pressing to 2,000rpm from standstill, the "lag" isn't that apparent. Just have to find the sweet spot of it.

what wonders me is how can the rim still looks okay if the car really hit a divider at 120kmh..and before that, the bumper must be crash 1st before the tyre/rim hit the divider..so for me, i dont believe the news..

QUOTE(dinwaja @ Apr 20 2012, 10:16 PM)
now i remembered....few years ago i saw 1 satria hit the divider and climb up onto it...haha...the bumper looks ok..but undercarriage...hancur...location : uitm shah alam sect 2...
*
yeah, thats the point-its actualy quit norm to see that the rim is still intact,-giving the impact only affecting certain parts which most probable the undercarriage like lower arm,drive-shaft,gearbox thats already broken apart

bashers here in fnf & /k surely never endure/saw such eksiden right?deswai thinking if hit divider/kerb/pothole,surely must confirm the rims also got impact?

take a look at this 599 eksiden--can u spot the rear tire,its already misaligned isn't it?but the tire&rim still in good shape,right?

the rear sport rim is actually still intact in good shape ,but the lower-arm/drive shaft already broken apart causing the tyre to misaligned

We had to admit Proton did not prepare well for this so called global car.
I'm open minded to accept any criticism but,
"Another piece of crap from Proton"

You call this constructive criticism for improvement?

Another example,
If your mum's cooking is crappy, so you tell your mum "Mum, your cooking is crappy." is this constructive?

I test drove this car a few days ago and am not impressive with it, i immediately wrote a feedback to Proton and they did reply that they will pass it to the relevant department. How true is it and whether they will do anything, i don't know. But i'd tried my best. If they don't listen, it's their own loss.
