I booked mine from Sunway, City Ruby. The only deal I manage to coax from the SA is either 2K discount or no discount plus free Vkool armorall.

wa lazy to wait, ended up taken WWQ6xxx. but then still the car need to wait till next week baru keluar due to slow processing itu cukai....... no K5 for me this weekend. No rim hunting liao this weekend with bro irangan.....

same like what others mentioned before, i just insured my windscreen/windows/sunroof on the normal standard 15% insurance premium from the total sum insured. In my case, i paid rm450 for rm3k coverage.

no need to inform JPJ. The release letter is just a formality for u to know as confirmation that the ownership endorsement for the car has been removed by the bank from the JPJ system. If it is not removed from the system, u cant sell the car even with the release letter. The release letter was used prior to 2007, when they all switch to online control.

If u bring ur registration card to JPJ, they will cross chop sign the "hakmilk dituntut oleh Maybank Finance Bhd" without charges...but if any shop taking ur car, they can do online search to check if the car is clear of debt

The windscreen alone is Rm2,500 and someone said the sunroof is RM8K.

I finished paying my car loan in 2010. But didnt bother to collect release letter in Penang. Now my dealer in Ipoh is asking for it. Can't they do it themselves since im trading in the car to them?
