Try this. The Optima Ipad Apps. You can download it in your iphone of ipad. Some really cool info inside...

http://itunes.apple.com/my/app/kia-optima-...d496364683?mt=8

Can give potential people the interactive experience. Better than looking at just the pictures... icon_rolleyes.gif

I really like that part where they show how the optima color was painted on. Really high tech. brows.gif

... and congrats on V2.. really nice!! rclxms.gif

Aiya... Just realize my k5 also got the 'nyek nyek' sound. Coming from the passenger side behind the driver. Only hears it when going through some rough road. Can't really hear on normal driving.

Also just realize my sunroof side rubber is loose. It won't leak when rain but when the sunroof closes it will 'press' the side rubber in together. Will take some picture tomorrow.

Other from these, the drive is smooth and solid. I got strangers come up to me and ask 'is this the new Lexus?' when I said 'no', it's Kia from Korea. They were surprise and they really like the design. then they start comparing with Camry and the designs is so so only. rclxms.gif this happen to me in Penang today.

QUOTE(K5WHITE @ Apr 26 2012, 10:07 AM)

i seen that before oso...when u open the sunroof, and close it back, the movement of the sliding mechanism stretch the long rubber seal and pull it out of its place...mine happen at the front passenger side top...u try to see if it happen to u or not, by standing outside of the car, standing at the front passenger side..look at the top front part of the sunroof, look at the nearest seal to u..then open and close the sunroof...

mine happen on the first few days, simple tuck in with finger again for few time, then no more lioaw...maybe tight fitting new car, after that fitment okay lioaw, no more stretching, so not happening to me lioaw...

sorry no photo, coz car not with me now...
Yes. I have this same problem. You describe it better than me... tongue.gif

After I try to 'tuck' it in... Much better... The drive side looks ok... But the passenger side still got a bit 'tuck' in. Can't seem to pull it out. Could be just the rubber problem... Look a bit loose to me.. Will post some picture once I reach home tmr. Still in Penang and it quite dark outside. Lighting not good.

Will go to red cube and fix my 'nuke nyek' sound later when got the time. Thanks for the info guys.

Just saw a white k5 here in Penang Taman inderawasih... Plate is WWJxxxx. Belong to any1 from here in forum? brows.gif

I think the fc for K5 is quite good. My fc for 25% city & 75% highway can get around 700km++. If 100% city driving around 550km++ with extra fuel to spare for another 100km++.

I usually pump full tank when its down to 2 or 3 bars.

Just came back form Penang yesterday and wanted to share my fc (and also for those who are looking for some info on K5 fc). Not sure if this is comparable to other D-segment but this is what I got.

City/highway around 25%/75%
Mileage 830km and still got 2 bar left
pump ron95 for rm120 (around 63 liters i think) full tank

Started full tank in Segambut area, then go up to Penang (include BM and Bagan and stay overnight at Perai)
Next day go up to S. Petani and up to Jitra then come back to Perai to stay overnight.
Next day travel down to tapah only pump petrol.
Driving Style: light on pedal and max speed only about 100 to 110km/h.

Feels like the fc is better now compare when I first got the car. brows.gif

oh.. btw... found out something about the K5 the other day. (something I am not aware of at all)

I use the smart key to lock my car. All is good. Then wanted to check if my boot got lock properly or not cause got keep some expensive things inside. Press my fingers to open the boot and IT OPENS. I was like rclxub.gif , my boot cannot lock?? I got faulty car?? Makes me mad.gif and want to go see my SA next day and complain. Later I think, think, think, that MAYBE the boot can open is because I have the smart key in me and it can detect that I am nearby so it allow me to open the boot. So I pass the smart key to my wife and ask her to stand far away and I go try to open the boot again. Guess what.... It cant be open. This is one of the features that I dont know about. What a relief... thumbup.gif

Silly me blush.gif . Looks like the car is really smarter than me... rclxms.gif

Btw.. Any one thought of installing captor (Security system with gps tracking?) hmm.gif

Thought of sandblasting my vehicle no. On all my window. Anyone here already done it? Suppose to be a deterrent to any potential thief since they cannot simply change our plate no and drive off. brows.gif
