Just a question,if i have signed the hp papers with the bank but have not payed downpayment, can i transfer the loan to a different car? I would obviously still wait a.while more for the k5 but if the wait gets ridiculous i want an exit plan..

can. as long as the car grant haven't come out yet. the loan actually not proceeding unless you took the car.

cause once you took the car grant, hp loan need the grant no, car registration no and so on. now nothing to key in.

just an approval of hp only.

Hope they resolve this crap the soonest, i actually booked on early april but needed to wait until WWX. Now that day has dawned, but now this drama. Actually after so long, the excitement has died down but each time i see the car on the road...damn it looks good
Might as well wait for WXA next month. No hurry.

why not wait a little longer? 2-3 months wait for a car of your dream is worth it. u might regret if you cancel your bookings now.

fyi...the elantra wait time is also around 2-3 months.

If the wait is due to shortage of stock that i can understand. It is expected. But this..... Car is already there. It is just teasing us.

Also dont like it when the love for the car is used as an advantage for NAZA to drag the whole AP issue.

I already got my 'preferred' WWX reg number in hand and yeah, I would still wait for the K5 as I can't really seem to think of any other substitute, worst come to worst maybe 508 or Kizashi (but too small) but they both dont look as stunning as K5 and are second best in terms of my personal preference.

Just got text from my SA that he will try to deliver the car by this month, Let's see how this goes.. At least he didn't ask me to pay DP first or else will 'sangkut'.

That is exactly how I feel. I understand that Elantra have to wait 2-3months, car not here yet, no downpayment required. But for our case, car is here waiting for us, and most of us here have paid downpayment, by right should not take more than 3 days to collect car.

by the way, KIA Malaysia has responded to my comments in Facebook. Please like my comment or post your comment to strengthen our voice. http://www.facebook.com/kiamalaysia/posts/..._t=feed_comment

Read Kia's respond on bro bUGG's facebook page and I'm not too happy about it. NAZA will only be certain that the AP issue can be resolved if they pay it. If NAZA is only going to leave it to the discretion of MITI on approving their appeal then it makes no difference if NAZA say 'another 3 weeks' or a SA said it.

If taxes are due then NAZA should just pay it. I dont see what benefit will MITI gain if they were to approve NAZA's appeal. Unless......

If this goes on, it might affect sales which wil eventually affect the demand and later the 2nd hand value.

Anyway, just have to pray and wait. tongue.gif

Yep..U 2 have made the right choice. Everything is superb especially the design. Only one thing bout the suspension. My brother tested the car one night. He really pushed the car to the limit. His comment was that the car suspension is a bit soft when it corners the road and when he brake the car is not stable. Any comment guys?

Optima K5 is a family car, not meant for racing. Hence the softer suspension. But Camry have a very much softer suspension. Softer suspension for comfort ride. There are people complain Optima K5 suspension too hard. So.. can't satisfy everyone

Ya, I feel the same as well. This make me feel not so confident when taking high speed cornering. I did try to turn the same driving a Toyota vios (my gf 1) and the handling grip and body roll is much better on Toyota vios. So I really feel abit dissappointed with suspension. I thought they use the performance type suspension for K5?

The lack of confidence in cornering is due to the feedback from the steering. Nothing to do with the suspension. Ive tested the Optima at 200kmph taking corners on the NSE. The suspension on the Optima is much more firmer compared to the Camry but not as firm as the Peugeot 508 which makes driving over rough road at low speeds not that bad.

R u sure a Vios has better grip and handling compared to a k5? Anyway, cm98 is very right, k5 does not provide the steering feedback which at certain time on rough road u don't get the firm handling. By anyhow, compare to Camry this k5 is much better handling and I would say only lose out to 508, mondeo which is the same category and near pricing.

Thanks a lot mate.

Also, I notice that the oil we are using Syntium 3000 is 5w/30 but when u go into a Petronas station, they only carry the 5w/40. I guess its exclusive to Naza? Definitely not the 5000 bcoz its 0w/30.
