If these pics are true, it is than a big disappointment in the looks department. Phone looks so cheap !
These are definitely those in the make up casing to hide the real ones

If I'm not mistaken, those are just a casing that Samsung sent out for testing to prevent the genuine look of SIII to be exposed.

But if this is the genuine look of it, it will be Samsung great disaster if their mission of SIII is to compete with IP5

might be true as i posted on taiwan forum and the admin blocked my post coz they said the pictures from a company and not yet announced.

true... i recall seeing a few more established websites writing articles about this and there's mention that the phones are in the standard 'decoy' casing...

so, while we dunno how it will look like (the actual physical size and the sides), but we can already roughly expect what to see on the screen...

what puzzles me is... still got hardware button when there's already a home button? or maybe hardware button is decoy? or the home button is customisable (as suggested by some websites)...

same though. already have on-screen buttons but still got 1 center physical button.

But the GUI looks pretty enough...
Hope the REAL SAMSUNG can do some GUI like that.

Well..the phone looks good to me. Still want to know the spec though. HD screen, removeable battery, micro sdcard slot and NFC features is a must. IF all that check then GAMES ON :-P

Agreed. Even if it's the real S3, I would like it too.
But, I think it's fake due to some reasons stated by some LYN members above.

The GUI is better than Samsung's.
The overall is quite nice too. The drawback is the back/rear part which is like cheap plastic.

i dun think samsung or any android manufacturers will not have removable batteries for phones... so, quite sure S3 will have, together with microSD. NFC... for me... nice to have. dun have also ok la... after all... specifically at you... i dun think you plan to use this phone for more than 1 yr... i think NFC still need 2-3 more years before reaching maturity in terms of usefulness.

HD screen... quite sure it will be 720p.

Most probably they just tampal plastic back cover. From what i heard it suppose to have ceramic body/casing. By the photos it sure not ceramic. Had to wait for May 03rd.

Added on April 25, 2012, 2:20 pmAll latest flagship phone got non-removeable battery. Motorola Razr and HTC One X both have that blardy features. So we keep our fingers crossed. ~~LOL~~

Sure Samsung can do sth like that. It's quite close to SII's GUI. Thinking that this is just a test unit, SIII's GUI's will be surely be improved from SII right

And btw, it's just a fake casing covering the phone. The real one's gonna be in ceramic. It's amazing how thin it is after "wearing" the fake casing (assuming this is a real test unit though)

i guess i will be sticking with my one x. unless the S3 is really something extraordinary and the performance is more than 20% of one x

with the latest update the one x is already fast enough for me. if the s3 is faster, gotta see how they manage the batt issue and heat issue. s2 exynos is very hot the last time i heard

Same here. I'm expecting to hav a better batt management & heat issue in S3.
No point jz fighting for faster processor.

Hot is a subjective issue. Some say hot, some will say warm.
A few says very hot but others says very warm.
But to say very hot is wrong i think. Very hot means really hot. I'm sure S2 will malfunction if it become really/very hot.
I've done Stress Test on S2 running on 58°C for five continuos hours non-stop and yet nothing happen. The phone still working without hang, freeze or any malfunction. The phone feels warm though but other than that, it working perfectly.
The question is whether you feel comfortable handling a warm phone. Not whether the phone can handle the heat :-))
