What is VMware? tongue.gif
If it relies more on processing power, then perhaps you would want to consider the Samsung 3 series (12.5") instead, comes with an i3 processor
Samsung 3 series NP350U2B, i3-2350M + Intel HD3000@RM2099, 4GB, 500GB, W7HP *earlier variants witt i3-2310/2330M can be around RM1.7k only
*
VMware is the virtual OS running on actual OS lol.
Not prefer Samsung brand thou..tongue.gif

There are only a handful of FullHD laptops at the moment, and none fulfills your requirements perfectly
Closest would be:

For Asus, you're going to have to make compromises:
N55Sf-S1515v [black], i5-2450M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1920x1080@2899[Bang & Olufsen]; 750GB (7200rpm), USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer *EOL-ed *not i7 processor

XPS 15z, i5-2450M + Nvidia GT525M (1GB) + (1920x1080)@RM3599[2.51kg], backlit keyboard *not i7
XPS 15z, i7-2640M + Nvidia GT525M (2GB) + (1920x1080)@RM4099[2.51kg], backlit keyboard *dual-core i7 only, over your budget

For MSI units, you can PM MSI-MY or Sanko for more details and also insights on where and how to get cheaper brows.gif
*the GE620DX-675 was initially RM3499 RRP o, fyi brows.gif

As for the Asus G53Sx, some say its EOL-ed already, so it'll be harder to find, but still its worth the trouble looking for it thumbup.gif

any idea when is the new intel processor notebook coming (the ivy bridge) and the price range ?
*
Mobile i7 Ivy Bridge (IB) processors would be released first, along with desktop Ivy Bridge processors...
And so far we are already seeing Ivy Bridge i7 in the market (Acer V3, and a couple of MSI notebooks etc.)

Budget range IB processors would probably come later, after around 2 months or so? hmm.gif
Price would be more or less similar as what we have now...

Guys, I was looking at DELL US and it seems the alienware m17x r4 is out.

I looked at the Malaysian website and I noticed that their m17x now have different choices to customize (also the CPU used seems to be the same as the DELL US r4 ones)
but the video cards are different.

Are Malaysia ones r4 or just newer r3s ?

Thanks

I need a good traveling laptop. Something that wont break your back but with 720p, comfortable keyboard, and decent browsing battery life.

I was looking at eee PC 1215b which attracts me especially due to the matte screen.

another model that attracts me is U32U-RX015v. is the battery life better than 1215b? also, how is the weight comparison?

willing to buy online/lowyat
