just heard from my sa that the confirm ckd price is only RM8,000 different. this is without sunroof and bose sound system. if this is true, i think the cbu will be the better option.

CX-5 CBU version is already on limited units left. All new bookings should be CKD version now.

So far apart from us (Mazda3S @ Jln. Sungai Besi) there should be few more dealers have balance CBU allocation left.

test drive it last saturday with my mom, i'm the one who test drive it.. the handling is nice, no outside noise, no tyre noise, felt really comfy with it leather seat, accelerate it feels light eventho it SUV, using its +- to change gear feels like manual, not like those conventional 4 speed gbx or CVT (which jerk a bit for conventional n feel nothing for CVT), feel very classy inside, the audio system is so damn good crisp n the bass is nice, n 3 years or 100k km free maintenance for parts n labor + 3 years warranty for color coating and 1 year for rims color coating (which with that coating u only need to wash ur car using only water)
straight pay for booking (3-4 month waiting list), can be refund if cancel..

IMHO, i think the best way is to get your dealer to change the color if possible. But that might come with another wait. No other dealers can get you your car by End of March even if you cancel your booking and re-book with another dealer/branch. Worst still, you might be getting a CKD unit instead.

We got allocation for SKY BLUE CBU units but delivery won't be in End March, perhaps End April or even End May.

I heard differently, it's 8k off base price, and 2k for special accessories instead of 6k, so total off 12k

I don't mind the wait. But how can it the allocation be til end of May. I thought they have already shipped the last batch of cbu units. SA from bermaz told me that end of april may will be getting ckd units already.

You have allocation for blue cbu cx 5 but has it already been booked or is it still available? I dont want to cancel my white cbu unit booking and then end up with a blue ckd model in the end if I rebook with your branch.

Hmm.. have you really discussed with your current dealer on color change ?? Cause if its coming End of March anyway, they might be able to change. Also, have you checked that they will 100% refund your booking fees as well if you cancel ?? Its gonna be a hassle if they refuse. So best to get everything allright first. Nope, the last batch of CBU units will arrive around End Feb or End March. However, delivery of these units might be longer due to the Customs & PDI process.

CKD units will roll out around May/June if I'm not mistaken. They need time for the CBU units to clear from the stockyard anyway. So won't be surprised if its delayed.

I have available allocation for SKY BLUE CX5 2WD CBU after checking my list. However, the best is to provide a 2nd preference just in case.

Can I asked that,if I book today,can I still get CBU unit in Penang? By the way,the price list top up 6k will include 19 inch rims and rooftop and etc, but read thru the past few pages, know that 19 inch has been change to 17 inch. So the 6k top up doesn't include the 19 inch rims for now?

About the above. So what is real difference for CBU and CKD? Pricing total how much for CKD? For financing, can I delay my financing until the unit near delivery?

CBU differ to CKD is only the sunroof, already confirm with my SA, BOSE sound system still there.. nothing else
