CKD version no sunroof and no BOSE sound system....
BERMAZ glenmarie sales manager confirmed it..

CBU = import duty on CIF 30%
CKD = import duty on CIF 10%
Savings of 20%

CKD savings
a) reduction of 20% import duty on CIF ( I believe this should be approx Rm8-9k savings, assuming the CIF of the CBU CX-5 is approx Rm40-45k? )
b) savings on removal of sun roof
c) savings on cheaper sound system

Only Rm8k cheaper? not all savings are transferred to the end buyers. (however, IMHO Mazda's price reduction for CKD unit compared to other makes, is considered better. what do you think?)

this analysis applies to all CBU to CKD models for MY. seemed that all car principals are earning more by CKD'ing their models.

How is the recent fuel consumption of this car in KL? last week driving in the massive jam manage to get 370 KM for full tank rm100...

RM100 for 370km is not that good. Are u sure you got the numbers correctly?

cx5 vs cx7 which much better?? seen the cx7 looks better and more like a murano competitor and specs wise looks good too, but in terms of $$$ duno if this will be worth the value

Remember the official price list/spec of CKD Mazda CX-5 is still not out,but the 1st batch of CKD is already sold out.Now bookings for CKD CX-5 is for 2nd Batch(June onwards).
RM1,000 booking fee is refundable.
