unfortunately the physical reproduction of the JL subs are almost if not identical and will be impossible to tell apart. The only obvious difference is the sound it makes. JLs are strong thumpy subs, the chinese immitation varient are not.

Honestly - for that kinda money if I do buy it I wouldn't complain about the sound. But if I wanted JL sound, I'd buy original JL from original distributor.

hi guys. been so busy lately. long time din go here.still on my sony subs.have to save some money for subs since i used part of my budget for another amp. the mcintosh 440m now running active. bought alpine pdx 1.1000 from my friend.so i have 1000rms for subs alone hehe.
so my last upgrade this year will be morel ultimo subs.1000rms.peak 3000w.may i ask sifu here bout how it perform. i may be biased since i do like morel. price for ultimo about 3k so i have to save for another 3-4°months. hope to hear comment from u all.tq

morel ultimo is 1 of the very musical subs in the market now. got lotsa gud comment from europeans. juz get a gud installer to do the job.

it's a good sub, but sad to say most local icer prefer punch sub than musical sub...only to those who are really serious into sq will like it

you can go with a reputable brand alpine/pioneer HU, and a reputable brand component set

if you want to have subwoofer and amp along, i am afraid you may want to save up a little bit more

2500 will be tough for 2 amps, components, sub and player. maybe 3k-3.5k

i suggest get 4ch amp first and play passive. and look for player with in built 3 way xover, so u can play 3 way active in the future when u buy a sub amp.

500 can get ice?
Currently using kenari original audio.
Cannot satisfied me,plan to change it.

It would help if you did some research before coming in here asking this sort of question.

If you said RM5000 then the answer is sure yes.
If you are saying RM500 that's barely enough to get a decent speaker set.
If you want a complete set for RM500 you probably can with china-mari stuff but if you cannot be 'satisfied' with stock, what makes you think chinese brands will make it any better?
