Thanks for the input guys. Btw, izputra, if my company is taking the loan for me, do know what do I need? My accounts seem to be a bit clueless in this area sweat.gif

Also, if submit salary slip, proton will do the loan for you? I thought loan have to take yourself?

Btw, guys, we're here to talk about the car - not each person's political preference - there's RWI for that. Keep it clean lah. Later thread gets closed liao sweat.gif

Your company taking the loan for u..do u mean that u took the loan from your company to buy this car?

Yupp..i ask the SA to survey several banks that can provide me loan with the best interest rate..& at the end, i'm the one who decide which bank i will choose. At the same time (& if got free time), i will survey by myself at the banks. But, it's quite hard to determine the confirm interest rate since that Proton yet to finalized the car price.

he...he...i'm not insider by the way. The question is, how fast u want to drive the car?
Example, in exora bold cfe, with nearly 1.5 tonne body, less aerodynamic than p3. Cfe already can launch it at speed beyond 200kmh. If beyond 200kmh is not enough, then, i think this car will not suit u. Talking about hp numbers, yes, the bigger, the better, but, let say, in the same car, same cc engine, one is 100hp, another one is 120hp, how much that 20hp translate to kmh? Just around 5-10kmh only. Back to the question, how fast the better hp car achieve the speed?

A common mass production car is not built for speed. It is more on usable power. For even 1.6 turbo(except race prepared car), speeding beyond 180kmh is a stress n it takes time to achieve speed beyond 200kmh.

Safe to say that based on info i gathered from prtn, speeding to 180kmh is effortless for a 1.6 car, even comparable with many 2.0 na cars.

As i mentioned above, if u r constantly drive beyond 180kmh, need speed more than 200kmh everytime u hit the fast lane, the car is not for u. But if U just need to speed beyond 180kmh only when it needed, or just for fun once a while, then, it will be rewarding.

torque is more important than HP..u will always using torque in ur daily drive..but HP u rarely use it..how many times do u speed till 190km/h??..exactly!..a right move from proton indeed..infact i would love it if proton wanna reduce the HP and increasing the torque..maybe till 215Nm...i rarely speed above 150km/hr biggrin.gif

How was the comfort? Does it feel solid?
*
comfort level is ok so far because only drive for short distance, never try go to far. the black fabric with a fill of dark colour interior together with some silver and chrome trim look really sporty . the solid you can feel if grip the steering, i still wondering the glove box , it does look cheap although the use gas spring to slow down the movement. but the biggest thing that i worried is the dashbord panel meter, when you not turn on the key you can see only the white plastic trim. looks cheap..and extra compartment box on your right . really big and i think you can place you Smart tag device inside it.but it almost hit your leg when you open it. shocking.gif

Erm. No. It's sort of a company car laugh.gif So the loan will be paid for by the company. Wondering how the dynamics work though...

Anyways, I didn't know that the SA could do that. Quite interesting. I guess I'll just ask our branch lor if that's the case biggrin.gif True about the price. A bit hard to find out the correct interest rate sweat.gif

A bit of a silly question - doesn't matter right whom I book the car with? No added frills for different SAs right?

Thanks for the info man smile.gif

Hmm..if that's the case..advise no more..no experience yet for such purchase blush.gif

SA usually will have contacts on loan's officer at the several banks..they can easily find out the interest rate for u for each bank. But the car price yet to be confirmed by Proton, so the interest rate also not fix yet.

For me as a customer, i have all my rights to choose which SA to serve me (through all car buying processes). If i feel that one particular SA serving me well & competent enough during my showroom visit, i straight away book with him. Else, i might end up with any other SA of my choice if that particular SA is incompetent or did not entertain me well...

why adore fancy ads?
proton better spend more $$ on making quality cars rathter than making quality ads.

believe it or not, the better the car is, the less advertising it needs.
how often do u see buggati/lambo/porsche ads on TV?

Cannot compare like that, lambo/porsche are for reech ppl. As we all know, reech ppl dun watch TV. Live KLSE feed is far more exciting for them.

But seriously, at this time and age there is no such thing as a good product needs no advertising. When you competitor is flooding the internet and airwaves pimping their products, no one will know yours unless you do the same, or people will wonder why your company so poor cannot afford advertising.

how bout comparing it to civic and ford focus? interior quality better or worse?
i know even the high spec civic has really bad plastics.. bit surprised actually considering it to be such an expensive car.. and the comfort level of that car is doh.gif .. some more using double wishbone suspension.. so much ride comfort sacrificed for the handling..

although you see the rear design is small from outside , but it does give enough space inside , they had push a little bit foward and lower down the seats, for me 5ft 4" tall , i still have almost 3 inch clearance on top when i test. the leg room also not a problem , when adjust the seat maximum towards the rear still have 1 finger gap...

Dengan taglinenya Drive it to belive it, ia pastinya membawa satu dimensi baharu untuk model Proton. Kita nantikan pelancaran rasminya yang dijangka pada awal atau minggu kedua bulan hadapan.

i think, the compartment on the right side is an extra compartment. I think that for those thing we normally use when driving, there is a compartment at the lower part of centre console at the gear lever.

The glove box i think used hard plastic, thats why it seem cheap compare to thw whole dash.

For meter panel, that is the con when using back lit led or optitron meter. It only comes alive when u turn on the key. I think, thats why the tag line is drive it, to believe it not see it to believe it. Ha...ha... :-).

Still missing the 6 speed manual, but then, if launch everything, what is left for p322a then :-). It just what i think n assume, not officially from prtn or related party
