Anyone knows if there's a "deadline" for pre-booking the car?

QUOTE(37867 @ Mar 19 2012, 01:17 PM) Not sure if prebook got limited units. Previously they are people mention at tanjung malim they have 3k units. According to thestar so far only 500 units booked. What color u plan to take? Hmmmm...Read about the article as well. Don't have time to go and book liao Still deciding between black or white. I like black. But reading the comments in the prev thread, lots of people say white will look much nicer. Just don't want to have the yellowing effect though. Or the constant need to wax as was mentioned by someone in the prev thread So more inclined on black atm. QUOTE(BuFung @ Mar 19 2012, 01:18 PM) name Aspire bla bla bla.. famous die hard fans in Symbian/NOkia thread.... he is truly in the faggot level.. Lol. Want to teach others but...epic fail. Heh. Like the previous troll-wannabe who uses a car to measure success. I pity the fool. Are we that pathetic nowadays? We measure a man's success, prestige and worth by the car he drives??? WTH happened to our generation? Oh lord. I really feel sorry for them why u worry about the booking limit? U hurry need a car? if yes.. faster go book now... according to some SIFU said they have 3000 units ready.. so.. 1 months deliver 1000units still can have3 months supply mah... and still on going production.. beside, some other Sifu said only have 1k++ units laying around... ANYWAYS, worried because I'm afraid that there will be a sudden spike of people ordering and I have to delay getting the car. I'm kinda 80% decided on the car already. Would really love to test drive the car first though. But takut if wait too long delivery will take too long Plus, I'm of the opinion that the early batch would be better qc-wise. Problems could easily be rectified via warranty. I think. Feel free to correct me though I'm putting my money on proton going all out to salvage their reputation. I used to be a hater. Untill I saw the specs of this car. Heh. |

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Mar 19 2012, 02:14 PM) For P3, i believe they put all effort to get the first batch user's feedback as the testimonial of what they wanted. I'm not afraid of the QC cause this can be fixed easily and they already put effort into it, but more worried on the design wise. Since it is new chassis, design issue might be a major problem. Not only true for Proton, but others as well. Design shouldn't be a problem though right...I mean, there's warranty for that no? Or will it be too painful a process and I should just stick with my current car until they sorted things out.I'm just worried that if I adopt later, the QC - after the initial good response (providing of course, that it was a big hit), they would start to cut back on it. When you say problem with the design/chassis, what could go wrong eh? On a different note, does anyone know when they would actually get the results for the NCAP testing? PS: Appreciate your posts btw. Informative like Mat's mostly. Wish there was a way to like/rep up posts in the forum |

QUOTE(turbocharged @ Mar 19 2012, 02:58 PM) bro, thats always a catch. Like mastercard advert 1st batch, pro= better QC/material cons= white mice. the, being the first one with the car= priceless. QUOTE(watonk @ Mar 19 2012, 03:07 PM) 80% decided? Go for it and be the first few instant 'star'. What ruffstuff said did hit a chord though. What if there's a fundamental flaw in the design itself. Hmmm...Decision decisions. Q issue? Warranty will take care of that. QUOTE(xtjs @ Mar 19 2012, 03:19 PM) funny i have never thought of a proton... but with this... might just consider..... No leather seat! Looks like will have to re-upholster the car leh. Damn mafan. Haih.only thing is no leather seats That wouldn't void the warranty though right? Regarding the Japanese and Korean cars...would you really bother with the cars though? Honestly, it's like neither here nor there imho. Wanna say cheap...not really cheap. There was a discussion about how much the prices were jacked in the previous thread wasn't it? I mean, if you really wanna spend, might as well get a proper german. And since there are some individuals who think the car maketh the man, might as well go for a bigger "wow"factor. Heh. My two pence worth. I think if Proton screws up again this time round...very hard to get back the public approval. I see a lot of haters giving this P3 a chance. They had better get it right. |

QUOTE(kiapreve @ Mar 19 2012, 04:27 PM) Yes, previously really hate proton, but the P3 spec really impressed me. I have place a booking earlier with color Fire red on 14th March at the showroom before went to Bkt Jalil Power Of 1 event. I used to be very much against proton. Heh. Giving them a chance now. The specs for this P3/Preve is too good to pass up.Feel disappointed after drop by P3-21a the Built up process for day 5 at the event. Hopefully when the real car come out with promised. A lot of people prebooked liao. I also want! Contemplation, contemplation QUOTE(watonk @ Mar 19 2012, 05:19 PM) I wont worry much. Coz its made here. If other brand, poor resale, niche model, parts is hardly available. End up rotten. QFT. My A6 is a big fan of my mechanic's workshop. Dunno go in and out how many times dy. Bloody hell but parts for Audis are hard to find. Need to go around find half cut cars for best price/part ratio If its local (minus Waja 1.8, Juara and Tiara- Renault), no matter how doom the sales, the parts should be available, easier to get, and continue to abuse. A good workhorse. Still saw a few 80's saga run around town vs, say, 80 Corolla LE. On the other hand, my old iswara is still kicking with gusto. May not be the most comfortable of rides, but hell, it gets me from Point A to Point B. Rosak oso much cheaper to fix. Parts easily available too. And not too much of downtime in the workshop while waiting for parts to arrive. QUOTE(dares @ Mar 19 2012, 05:31 PM) Haha, hard to say. Old saga is rebadged lancer as well, they can stand alot of abuse. The same cant be say for post-wira proton cars. Another QFT moment. So, regarding re-upholstering the car...would that void Proton's warranty? Anyone care to shed some light? |

QUOTE(stormlcc @ Mar 19 2012, 08:08 PM) u r totally incorrect, black is the hardest colour to maintain, i have both black and white cars. it's so easy to get dust stuck to the body, just a bit and u can see black colour turn into grey spots, u might need to wash the car every 2 - 3 days if the car wax has wore off. and black colour is the worst colour to have in a tropical country with hot weather, the car can easily get very hot even in mild temperature, half an hour under the afternoon sun will melt you, and it'll take quite a while to cool the car down with aircon. it's bad for the aircon system, it's bad for FC, it's bad for your health, it's bad for everything. the only redeeming feature of a black coloured car is it'll look good only. Hmm..I guess that would be a problem with black cars. Dust is very noticeable. It's so much better at absorbing heat. Haih. Looks nice though.white colour dust is not so easy to spot, i'm washing my white car once a week only in these unpredictable weather. the easiest colour to maintain is metallic grey QUOTE(azbro @ Mar 20 2012, 11:41 AM) Quite agree..Solid white not easy to take care of...every dirt spot can be seen....I need to take care of my white car everyday. Washing and wiping and my wife also jealous I spend more time with the car than her I take it proton don't have the pearl white option? The more shiny the white is, the hard it is to take care. Those pearl white like Altis is more better is hiding dirt. What are people's thought on brown on the P3? Coz I think it looks quite nice on the Exora. The new top-of-the-line one. Anyone rajin enough to render it on photoshop? |

To those that booked the car, does anyone know what are the documents needed for placing an order for a company? As in, the finances would be handled by the company but the car will not be listed as a comercial vehicle.
God, I don't even know if I make any sense I lost the card for the SA at the Jalan Ampang branch. Any good ones to call? |

My accounts seem to be a bit clueless in this area Also, if submit salary slip, proton will do the loan for you? I thought loan have to take yourself? Btw, guys, we're here to talk about the car - not each person's political preference - there's RWI for that. Keep it clean lah. Later thread gets closed liao |

QUOTE(izputra @ Mar 28 2012, 08:56 AM) Your company taking the loan for u..do u mean that u took the loan from your company to buy this car? Erm. No. It's sort of a company car Yupp..i ask the SA to survey several banks that can provide me loan with the best interest rate..& at the end, i'm the one who decide which bank i will choose. At the same time (& if got free time), i will survey by myself at the banks. But, it's quite hard to determine the confirm interest rate since that Proton yet to finalized the car price. Anyways, I didn't know that the SA could do that. Quite interesting. I guess I'll just ask our branch lor if that's the case A bit of a silly question - doesn't matter right whom I book the car with? No added frills for different SAs right? Thanks for the info man |

QUOTE(izputra @ Mar 28 2012, 10:29 AM) Hmm..if that's the case..advise no more..no experience yet for such purchase Ah...I see. I guess I could ask whomever I find to check out the loans for me too SA usually will have contacts on loan's officer at the several banks..they can easily find out the interest rate for u for each bank. But the car price yet to be confirmed by Proton, so the interest rate also not fix yet. For me as a customer, i have all my rights to choose which SA to serve me (through all car buying processes). If i feel that one particular SA serving me well & competent enough during my showroom visit, i straight away book with him. Else, i might end up with any other SA of my choice if that particular SA is incompetent or did not entertain me well...
