Hi there all,

a noob here trying to understand what you all are saying...after reading all the pages, many question marks pop up in my head and hope some kind soul can help me in understanding more...

1)I saw many of u recommend to do a full wipe before flashing to ICS.....full wipe means restore the phone to the condition as u buy before right?so does that means all the thing below will be wipe out?

-game

and how do u all do a full wipe?isit by setting->privacy->factory data reset?

2)To flash to ICS, basically I'll need to download the official ICS firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487, right?

and then what should I do?I cannot seem to find a matching kernel version for my phone which is
2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF1.....  

sorry for all the noob question.....I nvr root my devices before and already read all the info at the 1st page but still hard for me to understand those thing..

home + power button works for wanam.

Guess need to revert back to the developer on this. Anyone using Chriskelo here?

If you needed it, i think on the market there are some app to allow you to take screen shot

Just now tried download, it gave me 0kb corupted zip file, needa wait extra 60 minutes till i can download agn

where you got the dl link?
i saw on xda only update till 6.0

No worries, need to use vol  down+power just need to press abit longer than usual. 

Same good 'o Andy, still will only put his ROM in the uploaded shared site, which got him all the flaks in XDA in the first place.

I dont really surf xda that often, plus i dont have an cc there. Is uploaded.to that bad? Is it illegal or sumting?

Bit of a drama there. Andy will only upload his files to uploaded.to.
Seems that site is not accessible in some countries so the users created their own mirrors and post them in Andy's thread. When Andy found out, he warns them not to do it again.
For whatever reason only known to him, he insists to share his file in that particular sharing site only. Some speculates that he'll make $ out of it by pushing the users to sign up for the uploaded account to conveniently download the files (faster, no waiting etc.)

He was warned by the XDA mods but our friend just ignores it so in the end, he got banned and his thread closed.

So he can know how many people are downloading his file. Thats the reason, and that's also been used by some CM7 porters to other devices.

So they can track the number of users of the port.

question, i just rooted my phone and im backing up the stuffs using titanium free. Was wondering if i chose to wipe the date through the phone settings would it even wipe the backup data since i do not have an external sd card.
