I took the leap of faith, I just flashed ICS official.
One thing I have to say that it was super fast, the notification bar drag down is like less than a second, it just zooms down. The touchwiz still in here, the face unlock was cool, not sure about the battery life, others is the same, swiping notifications was cool, but I don't like the unlock mechanism, was not cool at all, I wanna change it. Has anyone rooted your ICS yet? Mind giving feedbacks thanks.. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I just tried the OTG cable, can be used, DICE player, mx video player all played smoothly, and to be honesty, its even smoother than 2.3.6.. Well done, Samsung. But to take screenshot, it's no more home button plus the off button, its now the volume down button and the off button pressed simultaneously for one second...
Other than that, no problem, one of the best ROM ever ! |

EUROPEAN ICS Personally, I love this ICS, although I will now try apps, as some apps are incompatible, but like what Benny says, most apps are compatible.. Added on March 14, 2012, 9:11 amActually I want to add something, normally when you use GB, the Antutu RAM will show about 800 plus, at most you will get 900. But with the ICS, I never once failed to get below 1000Mb of RAM. It shows that ICS unleashed the full capacity of the RAM, which is a good thing though.. QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Mar 14 2012, 09:46 AM) Noticed that too, plus i would love a clear all button, its nice swiping, but it gets tedious after u open tons of appd and u need to swipe then all away. If I am not mistaken if you go into settings there is an option that allows you to exit all apps after you press the back button, so don't need to go into the task manager to exit it, doesn't have in GB .. |

Hey does forcing GPU rendering on applications on the developer options on ICS spoil the phone?
Thanks.. This post has been edited by Positron: Mar 14 2012, 10:55 AM |

Okay, I did a few test on the S2 using ICS, and I am so amazed that the antutu scores and the quadrant scores nearly surpass that of the nexus and the note, it was really impressive, I know they are just numbers but it is still very impressive..

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Mar 14 2012, 12:28 PM) Sup guys, long time no see. Agreed, the scrolling was not that smooth.. Just flashed ICS 4.0.3 XXLPQ last night. What I can say about this firmware is it is extremely hideous. The scrolling is terrible, touch responsiveness is awful. UI transitions isn't as smooth as in Gingerbread and the UI (TW) hasn't changed much so you can't really tell it's ICS until you head to the settings. The Face Unlock is working fine though. Tested for like 7 hours, no crash whatsoever, just the UI is bothering me. Oh and some say restart(s) will fix the touch responsiveness issue, tried, doesn't improve. I guess I wanna flash back to GB. This post has been edited by Positron: Mar 14 2012, 12:31 PM |

Okay, I just rooted ICS, using CF root, and I see what is the problem here, before I root, I could transfer the apps to SD card, but after I rooted the ICS, then cannot transfer the apps already..
