Hi guys. New to this forum. I would like to ask your advice on these two thing.
1. I've just upgraded my aquarium to a 4' and just a few days ago, white stuff started to grow on the aquarium walls. No that heavy but i believe it is some kinda parasite. Will adding heater set at 26 degree solve this problem.
2. My arowanas start to have those white thing in the eye. I do believe that this is some kind of decease too. Will the step above + adding salt be able to solve the problem... ?

I believe your too quick to transfer your aro to the new tank..

What I suspect is;
1) your aro already carried the cloudy eye fungus, but syndrome didn't show up previously due to immune system was strong in old tank..so when transfer to new tank, your aro got stress out hence immune system drop and the fungus grow..
2) water isn't cycled enough..
3) u stress u aro too much during transfer..

Yes..salt plus heater..set to 34 Celsius if your heater allow u to do so..

No feeding..

Dose vitamins daily on low dosage to prevent malnutrition which will lead to hold in head disease..

If the cloudy eyes got worse, go to lfs to get medications..fungus or external medications..

Meanwhile if your filter stuff is all new, wash em up again..

Go hardware shop and ask for glass driller head..

When drill, don't forget to spray water to prevent overheat which will lead to crack..

I believe u can find some video on YouTube..

And also the hole, do not drill too near to the side..risk of cracking is high..

You are indeed right. I ran the new aquarium for two full days, and after changing water for the second time, i transfered the arowana to the new aquarium. I already bought a heater but the max capacity is only at 30 degrees whereas my current water temperature is already at 29-30 degrees..

Anyway, thanks for the advice bro... will try to get the vitamin from ur shop soon..

Hi all sifu, my aro had this cloudy eye which in early stage as I monitor the fish everyday, I manage to cure it within a week with coarse salt treatment however after it was cured I notice there is dark red circle around the pupil of both eye..is this normal for fish after recuperating from cloudy eye ? or another sign for internal bacteria infection ?

Thank-you
