If want to using sump tank. Main tank need to have 2 holes right?
Yes, one in & one out. But u hv to bear in mind that its gonna cost u some noise. If ur tank in bedroom, then its not advisable.

No problem if the hole for water out, cuz u can put the pipe in from outside. But i think if cannister also okay, but uve to maintain the filter well, if not then will effect the flowrate pretty bad..

And LOL for the bedroom part laugh.gif

sump will also add the water volume significantly compared to canister... more volume means parameters more stable...

Can i know which is better.. Canister or sump filter?
*
Canister
- quiet
- space saving
- good for pressured flow medias..e.g. biohome, subtract pro etc
- I find it irritAting to be maintain.. not user friendly during maintenance..
- will not wet your cabinet..coz u can carry the entire canister to toilet..

Sump
- simple..can see every part of it..
- could attract mosquitoes
- noisy
- user friendly during maintenance
- need some technical skills to make sure the medias are fully utilize..
- will wet your cabinet during maintenance

what is the usual price for this ? I've looked around Pets Wonderland and see people selling 4 -5 inches between RM300 -1k depending on color.

I don't know what features make one arowana more valuable from another so if anyone has tips that would be great smile.gif

the seller has alot more of the same, and kinda tempted ... but my mind is telling me RM2.5k can buy me many other things too tongue.gif
