bro from ur facebook u got sell the lipan?
*
Nope..we dont sell centipede..even if we wanted to, there is not more supply to malaysia..coz all the centipede were from indon and now indon banned exporting of centipede..

QUOTE(Jenn77 @ Nov 20 2012, 02:24 PM)
They said lipan you need to cut them in small pieces and cannot take frequently, very poisonous. But its good for the coloration of the aro, esp. red color ones.
*
From my point of view, aro cant take frequently is coz the exoskeleton is quite hard to be digested..while the poison wouldn't do bad to the aro..i used to feed my red like 3 daily..no improvement in colour after 3months...only wallet suffered..

And the myth of those ppl saying centipede boosting the colouration of red, i believe wasnt true..the fact that profit from selling centipede is much more than selling any other arowanas live food..this is what i believe..coz centipede doesnt not have the nutrients of what a prawns have..

I believe yes if ur aro do take pellet..
Coz pellet can be stored, contain all the nutrients a fish needed, get something mid range is good enug, hikari mid range is good enug..if ur budget allows, go for tetraarowana pellet or hikari food stick..
So when u buy one can or tub of pellet..u can store em, u save petrol, u save time, no hassle to travel to lfs to buy live food, no need extra space or tank to keep live food, no live food gonna stuck inside filter or water pump or maybe a cricket escape the tank and there u go for the night trying to find where is that noisy *******..worse case, centipede escaped..not to forget live food got death rate..not all will survive..if u brought too much live food, u need to feed em to keep em alive especially when ur aro goes starving mode, live food will be left there..

But the cons for pellet or food stick is, need to train em to take..anyone with an aro trained to take pellet or food stick, dont ever switch to live food..surely will regret after some time..

Personally, by going to the LFS, it's another way of keeping the hobby alive, getting social while exchanging ideas etc.. Long time ago there was no such thing as Internet. Being so called fish keeping enthusiast, me and my buddies used to walk miles away to LFS just to look at fishes. Anyway didn't know aro's will go on starving mode, how long does the starving lasts?

LOL thanks for the replies about crickets.

Haha I am a bit phobia to those creepy crawlies, that's why I am asking whether there are the dead crickets for sale, lol.

Haha i know many ppl got entomophobia. Me too i was scared of insects and crawly things before. But not after playing around with them. Now i can hold live crickets, superworms and home lizards bare-handedly tongue.gif

Fear is to overcome bro, not an excuse. Or so i told my wife tongue.gif

Means 24hours a day..sure algae bloom..reduce lighting durations to maximum 12hours a day..unless ure doing wtt..

If after u reduce the durations to 12hours a day for a week of twice water change, the green water still there then u gotta check ur filter..if u lazy wanna alter filter and stuff, get a uv..problem solves..

I used to buy in bulk from official Hikari distributor in JB. Can get special price. Google up Hikari Malaysia u can easily get their phone number & address in JB. Good luck.

Would really like to go if i live around Klang Valley. Hows their pricing like, for an xbbbmg? Choosing from a comm batch can be beneficial, as u can see & compare which is superior, good or bad..
