i put a bigger koi inside the tank, the koi become king.
then no more fight oledi !!!

What filter you using ? a 422 with such a bio load will not be good. somemore add a big koi inside, its like putting a big lion with you in the room, how u feel is how your 5 xb feels right now.

the xb is getting better now, the koi have to be feed first if not is really like a lion.
i'm using sump tank filter and changing 30% water every 4 day.

Hey guys, just wanna inquire something..

My aro died last friday and I really dont know whats the cause. Ive been keeping it for around a year already and everything seems to be alright. Its diet mainly on crickets, mealworms, feeder fish and sometimes prawns. I keep it together with a spotted gar and an RTC, weekly WC every tuesday. Their habits; RTC just mainly lepak at the bottom, the gar minding its own business and d aro will be circulating on the surface most of the time. Size wise, aro is d biggest, measuring around a foot and a half(nearly), d gar not even 1 foot and RTC exactly 1 foot in length. I fed it just before I went outstation for 2 days and when I came back it was dead. Really cant brain how it happened,

Anybody can share anything they know about my incident? Really lost for words.

They're fine till today.. Just that the tank looks a bit empty now no more aro.

I did take pics of my aro but only when I took him out. When I found it, it was floating upright(head/mouth facing the surface).



Nope, im the only one who feeds them. N the tank is in my room, which I lock whenever im away. My nephew likes to go in and knock on the glass. Am using d external sump filter thing, dunno what the term is. Lol. Btw, heres d pic:

hmmm, i wish i could really give you a definite answer.. what i share with you is only possibilities.. from the pic, i dont see any external injuries, so i at least i can be sure that is internal issue.. rule out water because your other fishes is fine, plus though your filter is weak, but it is still sufficient for for 3 fishes.. also, from the pic, i did not see its tummy being bloated, so i guess it is not the food that kills it.. no apparent rotting of disease caused.. so my bet will be on jumping part and a hit on the head or a knock to the head..

From jumping? Hmm.. Could be but never seen him jump before.

just asking... i have about 20 cm silver aro in 4 ft aquarium... can i mix it with banjar red aro? planning to buy the banjar red....

Dunno for sure but I dont think aro's can be mixed since they're quite territorial. Unless they're together since small..

dun really worth much to be honest..coz the colouration isnt good enug...



jz make sure ur new banjar red is at the same size as ur silver..and have ur silver feed well...


aro can be mix...jz that can u bear seeing ur aro fighting causing damage to their fins and scale..

i kept before 5 reds together... 6 hb in one 6 footer...
no problem..but surely will got fights among them..torn fins and damage scale..

if u kept aro with other fishes, be prepare ur other fishes might got bully to the extend where stress level built up and bad things happen to ur other fishes

All sifus here, wanna ask 1 question here. Why my arowanas at the Bukit Merah's ponds still cant lay eggs ?? The ponds were set up *about* 1 year ald... Any problem that affects this matter ??
