no bro..if u put onto at where u put ur tanning lamp, all ur aro gonna die..coz UV light is use for preventing algae bloom..it kills..if u wanna get blindness, try staring at UV light, i guarantee u that u will blind..lol..

Either u get a UV power filter which u install in the aquarium or u buy a UV sub set tube and install it in ur sump or OHF or wherever away from main tank and also away from ur medias with good flow rate..preferably last compartment of sump tank..cover it up for safety purpose..

Or feel free to click on our facebook page, click like and ask us there for quicker response..
=)
cheers..

Hi everyone, since there is no specific request by our fellow readers and fans, we will write about Activated Charcoal. What is Activated Charcoal ( AC ).?

AC like its given named, its activated through 1st way, High Temperature and 2nd way, Chemical.

Unlike conventional charcoal, they are not burnt with fire. Fire itself is not hot enough to activate the raw materials. Raw material could be any type of wood, shells etc etc.

What are the different between the 2 types of AC.?

1st High Temperature Activated, a.k.a Physically Activated, AC. They are activated using only heat. So it is safe to use in aquarium.

2nd Chemically Activated, AC. Like the given name, they are activated through the uses of chemical and heat.

We believe many user out there are very confused about the properties of AC and the safety of prolong usage are always being questioned. As per stated in the directions of use if not all, most, " Please Dispose Of After " a certain period.

Most common claims which I have heard that are not true is, 1st it will alter PH when submerge for too long and 2nd, it will release back when it reaches its limits of ABSORPTION.......

how is the exact period that the carbon will have its full function. i do encounter some rocket filter(install in home) for home use, inside contain carbon too. is that we need to change it over time like 1 year/2 years? some water filter seller saying that can last up to 5 years.
