QUOTE(jianh @ May 4 2012, 11:53 AM) I just received this email from careers@shell.com and it quotes: Not sure myself if this email is really from Shell or some stupid scam mail? Anyone to point out for me please? You did submit your application to Shell, right? And to answer your question - nope, it is not a scam

QUOTE(Stefanov @ May 1 2012, 10:39 PM) hey sis, i think it would be wise that you state the final salary that you wanted, from there you divide. but i think offshore should have a higher rate thank you stefanov. yeah. i still research what the 'higher' rate dat i want to put there.

Thanks but I have to say that I'm being paranoid here, will it be possible that in the end it will turn into nothing? I mean no contact no nothing?

QUOTE(noruazumi @ May 2 2012, 04:10 PM) For fresh grads to be seconded, reasonable rates are as the following: 1. KL Office : RM 450/day (10 hrs) - RM45/hour 2. Onshore Site : RM 450/day (10 hrs) - RM45/hour 3. Offshore Site : RM 900/day (12 hrs) - RM75/hour Rate depends on SOW and other allocations/allowances. For offshore, often you are entitled to hardship allowance. wow.! this is what i want. maybe i can reconsider this range of amount. tq noruazumi.!

QUOTE(camel_active @ May 4 2012, 12:09 PM) yeah yeah.! so, how about rate that they being paid to me? do you have any suggestion?? Hehe... Best way is to look at how much you want per week. Then divide it by 40 hours / week. Usually, even if you are being paid by hours, there are minimum hours that you need to serve. 40 hours is the regulated hours.

If I'm Fresh Grads, I will look into RM4000 to RM6000 per month max. You can cap it at RM4000 if you are not confident enough to get that job.

QUOTE(camel_active @ May 4 2012, 12:15 PM) is it rm4k is include offshore allowance? Since the structure is different, you have to include offshore allowance too. Just for your reference, a fresh grad engineer in SLB gets RM3,500 basic and RM200/day offshore allowance. You need to check how extensive you need to travel to offshore and the allocation provided. Kinda hard for me to guess, but for your case, I think RM6000 all-in is a fair amount. Remember to ask about EPF, insurance, medical coverage and all.
