Graduate engineer position.
*
Had an interview with them during my final year in uni. There were 2 interviews from 2 different interviewers. The first one was standard..asked about my life in uni, the subjects that I took, etc. Was also asked about my problem solving i.e how do I solve complex problems, etc.

2nd interview was a role play exercise. I was given a number of problems coming into my 'work tray' and I had to prioritise which problem that i want to solve first. I also had to justify my choice.

By the way, this was back in 2009, so I don't know whether it is still relevant.

I see. I did apply for graduate chemical engineer position. I guess my application is not successful since HR start to call applicant for interview. Currently I am in my final sem.

Try again after you graduate. meanwhile work hard for your final semester. Good luck smile.gif

Usually they offer for those who are currently working in Petronas. They also take in EE and Chem E students who they want to convert to PE/RE.

I have not heard Petronas sponsoring students from Bachelors Degree to Masters degree without first having them work with Petronas for a couple of years.

I would suspect that it will be higher for those in the E&P business units. I think most Oil companies are segregating their salary scheme nowadays. Petronas was the last to do it.

some thing similair to what TNB does. UNITEN itself when it was initiated and started(from Ilsas) was full of tnb staffs whom were sent to further their studies in various fields.when they finished instead of going back to tnb, they were channelled back to the university to be academics staff+carrying on some rnd work for TNB.

I am speaking from experience though,I have never worked for Petronas but I did managed to secure a scholarship to do MSc in Petroleum engineering(it is more like a conversion course though as my background is not Petroleum Engineering).Well anyway this is 5 years ago,and
I have friend from the same course who was working with Petronas and sponsored by them to pursue this course.

Err..i applied once for Halliburton internship and that time got vacancy. So i applied through here http://jobs.halliburton.com/my/kuala-lumpur-jobs.

Ttook damn long for them to respond, like more than 7 months. Half way thru my internship only they find me. =.=

My advice to you, call the HQ straight and enquire about this and whether you can have the HR email or not.
