I dont understand, if ASB gives you 6-7% stable return per year compared to FD return of just 3% or risky mutual funds why everyone not crazy investing in ASB?

What are the disadvantages??

because not all ppl are confident with PNB, not all people trust PNB and not all ppl trust the government.

also there are a lot of similar investment that can give similar or better return smile.gif

Ruben7389,

Frankly, this is my first time heard about this, are you sure this Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) can be invest into EPF account or ASM investment services berhad, because based on their website, the only fixed funds which can be invest into EPF is only AS1M funds.

Hi

Just to check. Anyone here tried Maybank isamic Loan before.

Example:
RM30k loan (ASB)
RM45,100.00 Loan paybank (Fix for 8 years)

I find it so expensive and not worth it. I rather go for convention method and pump more money to control the monthly interest.

Anyone experience this before?

Petre,

Yes, but he claimed that someone told him EPF can be invest into ASM. For the info, ASM already fully subscribed either to Bumi races.

If the return failed to capped with the interest, then it will be a nightmare for those applied this ASB Loan. Based on the chart, dividend return for ASB always going downtrend in the long terms. If anything happen, be prepare. Just in case, nothing is guarantee in future.

Not really true i think. I dont think its anything to do with confidence with PNB or the Gov. Those who have the money have all maxed out their ASB accounts. The others who have not done so either do not have the money to invest or they believe ASB does not conform to Shariah principles or they prefer to invest their money elsewhere which gives them higher returns e.g property.

Btw, no other investment in Malaysia gives you similar returns with the same risk factor.

I doubt this is so, everytime when the PNB amanah Saham Wawasan2020 etc is open to public, i see such a long queu, and when it comes to your turn, no more units left for you to buy.

If really there is such a case as nobody want to buy it(ASM,ASB)- it is the bumiputera category. If you ask me why bumi category always got balance not sold out, i dont agree that it is the bumi people dont have confidence in PNB or they have better options to buy that can make more money.

ASM, ASW2020 etc pays out 6% or more every year. Everybody (nonbumi) is all waitimng to grab, dont believe, just wait for next public opening.

How do you come to conclusion people no confidence in PNB?

Yes, but there's still some minority who doubting about it. There's no right or wrong on this matter, they have the right to see from different perspective.
I'm waiting for another funds, especially new funds or fund increment so that people don't have the chance to invest previously can invest for it.

At the moment if the fund not available, still buying bonds, commodity and variable fund such as Amanah Saham Gemilang to invest. smile.gif

as the bolded part, is it true that ASB does not conform to Shariah policy?

Hope to get clarification here smile.gif

Amanah Saham Gemilang, is the best fund for non-fixed units especially for non-bumiputera, if anyone check "total average return" with benchmark value. For 1 year, 3 year and 5 year. Amanah Saham Persaraan is the best fund performance compare Amanah Saham Pendidikan, Amanah Saham Kesihatan and Amanah Saham Nasional 3.

1 year = total average return 22.19% with 9.13% as the benchmark value.
3 year = total average return 13.32% with 6.46% as the benchmark value.
5 year = total average return 9.42% with 4.02% as the benchmark value.

This fund yielding at 9% average return for the past 5 year. while Amanah Saham Nasional 3 is the lowest fund return for total average over 5 year.

yup, agree with what you said bro, people can q days if they are presented with a hope that they can get units. have seen this and know of people who want PNB funds so bad they are wiling to put 100-200k in FD waiting for ASM biggrin.gif

so i cant and didnt try to suggest that people dont have confidence in PNB, because this is fact that there are many who have 110% confidence in PNB although when asked what is the basis of their confidence, they can only say: its government. yet they vote for the opposition rolleyes.gif

of course, its misconception or miseducation, its a long and rather sensitive topic to some. those who know of similar funds will avoid PNB funds, but the general public will buy PNB units simply because they trust the government. the market is full of similar funds that can provide equal if not better returns compared to PNB funds, althoug i must say ASB and ASN are quite competitive. but we all know its exclusive

yes you are right. this is my own opinion and i urge anyone who are interested in my statements to make their own research smile.gif
