Davez89,

It a simple question, Eurasian is considered a minority group and allowed by our prime minister to invest in all ASNB fund units including ASB fund, as long you possess an identity card. However, these eurasian are minority groups and not considered as bumiputera. Hence, classified as non-bumiputera quota and such eligibility will be opened.

Solsekuin44,

When dividend already declare to the public, which equal once a year or every time when you top up an amount into ASB funds, make sure the resit and investment books fully updated before leave the counter.

Solsekuin44,

It is not necessarily, only for your own convenient especially for the 3d party such as bank agents, you may choose to update your passbook in future. It only to avoid errors and misinterpretation in case anything went wrong, to show that you had purchase an amount of units, as an evident just like a print receipt when you're buying goods and share, same in real life.

Eleven Dragon,

ASM is Amanah Saham Malaysia, this fund have no limit per person to buy units, subject to fund size, as long the fund size still able to capture the amounts, the size fund is depend by percentage of races. Majority holder will be given to Bumiputera 50%, 30% for Chinese and etc. units will be available if any current unit-holders sell off their units in exchange for ringgit. At the moment, it is always fully subscribed if you're saying about Chinese quota. ASB is the fund which capped at 200,000 units, with unlimited fund size. It is good because it a capped price at the rate of 1 units per ringgit without fluctuation. For low risk taker, it is always a good investment while for smart investors, it is not a good investment since they can get a better rate of returns.

Ic, thanks for d explanation rclxms.gif

Hmm, under ASB, there are few schemes, that's mean each scheme has capped of 200k unit each for single individual?

ya, agreed with the sentence...smart investors know ways to get better rate of returns, but not me.. --> still in learning process, just waking up from huge mistakes I did last time when i just started to work doh.gif

Eleven dragon,

Only ASB (Amanah Saham Bumiputera) is capped at 200,000 per adult unit holders, other relative fund have no limit, which mean you can buy all units as long there's available unit fund depend race quota. There's only a capped normally during initial offer period such as new fund or another fund increment but subject to the limit from time to time. After initial offer, normally they offer in whole lump sums where you can whatever left unit until the fund is fully subscribed within race quota. Let me give you an example, please download annual report as shown below and go for page 2, unit holder section (pegangan unit).

Anyone have any news that there will be new additional fixed price funds for subscription anytime this year?

I waited for so long, and this 2-3 years is really a 'draught' season, as there were no news about their intention to open new subscription for those funds..

Smartinvestor,

As an average investors, it is impossible to know when they will announce the next additional fixed price subscription. Even they know it, it is considered private and confidential matter, anyone violent companies rules normally will be suspended from their duties. the worst case is being sues because they're not protecting the company matter for disclosure. Does it make sense. They have ASB, which have no limits, they do not need so much money from poll investors other than bumiputera since the fund already reach 96 billion and increasing rapidly due to ASB loan. At the moment, I see government more focus on their other company for with public offering, such as Government Linked Companies, bonds and oversea investments. Even it going to announce, it will be selling like a hot cake, banks will be full of customer where they intend to invest their money into fixed funds because exit for these investment is consider low risk for them.

No announcement as at now.
Whenever they hv fund opening, ppl will claim it's Ponzi scheme, use new funds to payout interest for old funds, when there is no new funds, ppl also give feedback on no funds.
Asw launched during Dr. M, As1m under Najib. Maybe we shall wait till the next new PM

GGSC27,

You may sell it off at any PNB counter, or through counter in maybank, rhb, cimb or pos office malaysia nationwide. there are no redemption charge or cooling-off period. Just simply walk in, and you will get your money in a matter of time. yes, you should bring your passbook as it is compulsory, to update your deposit or withdrawal for easing future transaction.
