QUOTE(doneright @ Sep 11 2012, 11:48 AM) like silver, as you mentioned, correct? i've been into unit trusts. never look back into gov funds since Silver and gold would only be moderately better in the long run as compared to funds like ASB. Take for instance gold. If someone had invested in 2010 in Maybank, he would have paid about RM 131/g. The buying price now is RM 168. That's only a profit of 28% in 2 years. ASB gives out about 17% in 2 years. Silver would not fare as well as gold for sure.

@cybermaster98
Which other PNB fund for bumis to choose beside ASB?
I want something similar like ASB, meaning easy to withdraw and buy units (i.e always available every month when you masuk gaji -->most important for me) and income tax exempt.
Thanks man,

But your dividends can accumulate without a limit. But i personally know of a number of individuals who have got their max limit raised. You gotta have the right connections. Im hoping the elections would be in 2013 because for sure all PNB funds especially ASB will get good returns. Even EPF. This post has been edited by cybermaster98: Sep 13 2012, 03:19 PM

ASN3 comes with a sales charge of 5%. That is if, there is no price unit movement, you need at least one year dividend to offset the sales charge, only then after that you'll gain. buy using epf account, the sales charge is at 3%. Probably this is the reason for lower attraction. This post has been edited by whyee: Sep 13 2012, 05:04 PM
