when dividend is reinvested, the following year should have an increased fund size. at least the announced dividend. unless... when some people cash out and the available units are then not sold out. maybe??

QUOTE(tiramisu83 @ May 31 2012, 11:17 AM) their dividend is counted based on last year total share, or until the closing financial date of this fund? should be counted based on last year total share, plus new units if available * number of days held. Added on June 4, 2012, 4:41 pmhaha, next time if anyone is lucky enough to top up 30k, pls let everyone know. that is, if it is possible. This post has been edited by whyee: Jun 4 2012, 04:41 PM

QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Aug 19 2012, 01:56 PM) Well, I felt very bad for this.. As a chinese, i also dont have the privilege to use a loan (like ASB loan) for investing in similar ASN products.. Quite frustrated.. aiya, dont be frustrated la. having loan or not, is not the main point. Availability of units, is more important. getting loan for something, still have to pay. somemore, its tied down. when suddenly, not enough money, then what?? terminate account?

QUOTE(fly126 @ Aug 21 2012, 03:35 PM) Quite agreed that... now No Money, No Talk.. Money came 1st That's why, who wants to ikat tangan and kaki just to get a loan to buy some 5 or 6 digits in an investment savings book. Cannot see also, unlike a property. Added on August 22, 2012, 1:19 pminvest with whatever you have, no need to be greedy, not safe to invest in something you dont have beforehand. you never know that, what you could afford to put in now, but not enough (lets say 3 years later). QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Sep 3 2012, 08:36 PM) For those who wanna try ASW2020, now is the best time, dividend just declared, some might withdraw. its now or never. only small fries take out. can try, but no big hopes for big top-up. the big accounts keep on adding. Dont take out because of the compounded feature. This post has been edited by whyee: Sep 3 2012, 09:15 PM

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Sep 13 2012, 03:18 PM) Your maximum investment in ASB is 200K. But your dividends can accumulate without a limit. But i personally know of a number of individuals who have got their max limit raised. You gotta have the right connections. Added on September 13, 2012, 3:19 pmi think max loan is 200k, no limit if put cash. Added on September 13, 2012, 5:04 pmQUOTE(edministrator @ Sep 13 2012, 09:17 AM) oh.. thats weird. thought they payput 6% dividend last yr? gonna try to put in some $ in ASN3 then. no chance to top up my ASW2020. thanks for ur reply! ASN3 comes with a sales charge of 5%. That is if, there is no price unit movement, you need at least one year dividend to offset the sales charge, only then after that you'll gain. buy using epf account, the sales charge is at 3%. Probably this is the reason for lower attraction. This post has been edited by whyee: Sep 13 2012, 05:04 PM

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 21 2012, 02:28 PM) ASNB increase the fund size for reinvestment (dividend) purpose, NOT for sale. If asnb increase fund size for sale then how to sell the bumi portion (asw2020 and as1m). Only the non-bumi portion will sold out first. as1m bumi portion still available until now even after 3 years open. ASW2020 bumi portion also took long time to fill and now wanna open more. Do you think asnb want to take that risk? you meant, this year they anouncing 20% dividend?????? Added on September 21, 2012, 4:59 pmif from dividend reinvestment, at most 12b only. ahem, whatever happens, adding of fund sizes so near to declaring of dividends is not a smart move. to those who are used to investments, they'll know what it means.
