Nope.

Quite smooth Using 0.1313mm layer thick, 0.8 wall thickness, 20% infill, 210°c head and 60° bed.

I should use 0.1 to increase the fine line.

This PLA have to raise up the temp to avoid the base warp.

A closeup look on the surface.

If you want to really check the layer quality and alignment, you have to use dark colour under light. White and light colours hide imperfections.

Wow !. Didn't know that. Thanks. notworthy.gif
I use disposable moisture absorbers too (similar to that of thirsty hippo). Are they health hazard too?

Nobody touches it.
People usually just throw away after fully saturated with water so this shouldn't be an issue.

There are 3D printer below RM 1k but you'll have to do your own setup which will take hours.

Can try simple ones like this https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....bucket=5#detail

how is your tinkering skills? below 1k actually, not much options but DIY KITs from taobao , if you are not good at tinkering, i highly suggest that you double up your budget and get pre-assembled machines.

Wood working still ongoing, plastic can't beat wood when making bigger things. some small parts too hard to do with wood so a 3d printer would help a lot. tongue.gif
The price is a factor too. Didn't know its so cheap now.

The tornado, from youtube reviews seem very good for the price. All metal joins.

I've the Tevo tornado...comes with two pieces PEI like surfaces materials for the heated bed...these surfaces however bubble-up & deform after subjecting it to 125C for a week or 2, which makes adhering the first layer problematic......you may want to purchase a glass surface instead if you intend to use high temp filaments....The main base of the heated bed appears to be fiberglass-like material some 5-6mm thick....

Also Tevo Tornado utilise a 700W silicone heatpad and is able to hit 130C in around 2 minutes.... powered directly off the AC power through a relay

Speaking of which I may pick-up my 5th 3d printer, Creality's Ender 3.....

Not that easy for 3d print.

Need to learn some troubleshoot for the printer. Sometime you don't no what's wrong.

Than the material. Damn alot of plastic material characteristic. But it come down to 2-3 type use more.

Got to learn some 3d design. And plastic design. Need a lot of reinforce here and there.

Got to consider weight in price and quality ratio.

I m using cr10s. So far so good. But construction quality is so so. Not that study enough. I plan to modify it. But than the source is close.

I haven't try to print that high temp. Max so far 60°c for the bed. The bed come with glass. But have some defect. I change to Ikea mirror. Max for CR10s bed is 100°c. It using DC heater which is slower to heat up.

I m preparing to print ABS. But before that need to do some casing, heater and controller to control the environment temp.

ender 3. out of the box prints really well.

btw, does anyone know where i can recycle pla? PLA should be compostable, trying to avoid throwing those support materials/ failed prototypes away.
