QUOTE(Andy214 @ Mar 2 2012, 06:11 PM)
Most people have doubts, even I have doubts when I hear it, how can it be? Even GSMArena, but they take the intiative and step forward and find out more from the man himself.
It's normal to have doubts and based on general understanding/knowledge, more pixels can lead to many problems. But, if we're unsure, it's better not to make conclusions and write something/publish it as it it's a fact telling the world world, making more people confused and understand the wrong thing, it will also make debates by people even worst as they read the wrong information.

Lucky this is not life related issue;
Imagine something serious like baby care, if you know something that the baby below certain age shouldn't eat (e.g. not safe), but someone use his own logic/assumption say can eat, but you refused to listen to him/her, then he/she go and write/publish that information telling people that it's safe to eat.
There're thing we may think, there's nothing wrong and think it's ok based on general assumption or logic, but without confirming or really understanding, it's dangerous to publish out that information.

Engadget just calls this interpolation, then point and laugh.

Got news that mentioned Jobs meet with the founder of Lytro (Light Field Camera; Shoot First - Focus Later). Not sure what they can come up with or will there be anything at all, but based on the Lytro device diagram, it requires good optics that is not small.

Nokia isnt foolish enough to develop something for 5 years and end up with a camera that takes worse quality photos than the N8. Nokia had the reputation of best camera in phones since the 2MP Nokia N70, followed by 3.2 for N73, 5.0 for N82, and 8MP for N86. Im not sure whetehr the N86 is the best 8MP cam now because it has LED flash only, but it was the best 8MP cam when it was released back then.

remember , N86 got variable aperture .. biggrin.gif ,

Nokia N82 was the best 5MP phone for me ,

I still remember Motorola ZN5 and other Kodak phone that par with N82 that time..

and when Nokia N86 released , people didn't much noticing it , because , at that time, N82 still very popular [and of course xenon flash]

when , Nokia released N8, it was a really huge success for them...

I never used a resistive screen before, so when i used my dad's C6-00, i was like, wat the hell is this... But eventually i got used to it. Not bad, only when it comes to scrolling it is really bad.

I either use my index finger or just resort to swype. Swype helped me a lot, it even remembers some japanese words i use frequently in my messages, like, "imouto"...

well, N82, N86 , isn't a touchscreen phone biggrin.gif

anyway , i think .. before N82 , Nokia released N80 biggrin.gif

N70 isn't a phone that focus camera thingy..

I like N80 more than N73 ,

i have tried my uncle's phone[N80] before this , and it is amazing .. just that , N73 win in term of speaker smile.gif

N80 --> N82 --> N86 --> N8 --> Nokia 808 [is '8' means lucky number for Nokia? , they use this number to represent phone that has best/good camera]

the '7 series in Nokia N series' is lower line

for example --> Nokia N70[also got ME version] , Nokia N71 , Nokia N72 , Nokia N73[also got ME version] , Nokia N75, Nokia N76 , Nokia N78 , Nokia N79

N70 , N73, N76, N79 are remarkable phones in 'N7 series' ,
the phones have great features

the '8 series in Nokia series' is medium line [I think its focus more into camera]

Nokia N80[also got Internet edition] , Nokia N81 , Nokia N82 , Nokia N85 , Nokia N86 , Nokia N8 , Nokia 808

Nokia N80 got great video camera [and also good camera] , Nokia N81 got good speaker and great slide phone , Nokia N82 got great camera , Nokia N85 is a good multimedia phone [successor for Nokia N81] and also good camera phone , Nokia N86 is a great Nokia camera phone , Nokia N8[nothing much to say :hehe] , Nokia 808 [mother of god]

the '9 series in Nokia N series' is high[premium] line

Nokia N90 - is a great multimedia smartphone by Nokia , it looks like videocam , but it isn't biggrin.gif ,
Nokia N91 - is one of the greatest phone that Nokia ever made [especially its 8GB version], great build quality , great speaker , great....
Nokia N92 - another variant of N90 , but still thumbup.gif
Nokia N93 - also got the N93i , it is a videocam , lol... great smartphone and great video camera, successor for N90 , still remember the contest that organized by Nokia Malaysia , people recording videos just using this N93..
Nokia N95 - also got the 8GB version , it is one of the greatest phone by Nokia , flagship phone , that change boost Nokia , remember , N95 got many awards , people who want smartphone last time will go for this..
Nokia N96 - great multimedia phone , so many hype for this phone[TV , etc..] ..but then.. I guess Nokia N85 is better than this phone
Nokia N97 - qwerty keypad slide with touch screen biggrin.gif

As far as I know 8 is for multimedia (music/camera), 9 is generally high end ones. Exception to N80 (first one with WiFi) and N81 which was a music centric phone, the rest are best camera in its class phones.

should have...

http://mynokiablog.com/2012/03/02/full-res...ew-sample-pics/
there's a comment in the link that mentioned about the GPU but not confirmed

btw, Gizmodo Australia doesn't look like really want to admit their clumsy rant about the 808 PureView
