For me any clear cheapo sp is the best because it allows the screen to be seen as it is.

Can i put in any number for brightness, or must i follow brightness 'steps' like cpu freq?

min_gamma and max_gamma is the brightness and range from 0 to 24. Stock is 1 to 24. You can put any number in that range.

min_bl is i think how long the phone stays in each brightness step before changing (for auto brightness) i think you can put any number. Stock is 30. The bigger the number the longer it stays.

I cannot really comment on how long the screen on time is. With RP, my screen was always much dimmer. Now with Siyah it is brighter. So cannot really comment on how long it can last. If you look for my few previous posts, I said how long I could go with 50% battery.

There is no best screen protector.
But SGP Ultra series is quite good.
3M Estoc + is also very good.

No such thing as best custom rom. Most here use checkrom and turbkey

Try CheckROM or Turkbey ROM.

For ICS, you can try Batista Foxhound or Thebyani ROM...

hi guys...jus got my s2 about a month ago...but im facing a problem right now....why does it hangs when im playing music on earbuds....after i closed the screen it hangs...??...need help here...TQ

Actually, I'm quite perplexed how come I have been hearing a lot of hang/ force close/ shut down/ reboot/ skipped music/ camera hang/...etc issues with the SGS2...

Is there a drop in quality control with the newer batches of SGS2?

I'm sure many of you who owns the 1st batch of SGS2 (bought last year June/July) never face any of this issue, right?

Of course, thats because the first badge are all non-G models, no problem, after September like me, bought the G models, of course hang and like what you said above.
And for those who are planning to buy the Galaxy Note, please I am serious do it soon, there are rumors of another version of Note, something like G, more inferior..

It sounds like a problem with underclocking to 100mhz. Or did you undervolt 200mhz to a low voltage?
Or you didn't configure anything on your phone and everything is in stock setup?

I have a question, how to check the memory card is what class?

I am using a very old 8gb micro SD card.
Transferred it from my old symbian phone,

Its working fine so far,
But I'm curious what class it is.

I read that class 10 is the best, but class 4 is enough for normal use.
Not that I'm very perticular about it, but it's makes me feel better if I know.

I bought it about 1 year ago for rm48.
