QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Feb 27 2012, 07:39 PM) I remember having a similar problems on one of my kernels a few weeks ago. I noticed the phone was not deep-sleeping when the screen could wake up very fast even though there were no background apps. A restart and the screen woke up with the usual delay. To those on Red Pill kernel, what is the range of CPU freqs that it supports? |

My modern combat 3 also keeps crashing on my CRv6. Used to work perfectly fine when I had just started using the new ROM. Criskelo did not have any problems like this.

QUOTE(reimygan @ Feb 28 2012, 03:59 PM) YA!!! exactly same with the video! It seems to be a problem with the inaccurate calibration of the capacitive panel. It affects the finger tracking. You will have to send it back to the service center.I not sure when it happen, but it's happen few times on my phone d.. Sometimes it will back to normal. |

Amazing OS instead of Android. The engadget people got a chance to check out the OS running on a S2. They said that it was very unstable and needed many battery pulls, but it was smooth and the boot time is only 2 seconds. 2 SECONDS!!!. |

QUOTE(Dormiens @ Feb 29 2012, 08:59 PM) Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes: Only no sound? It seems to me that the radio is also damaged seeing how it cannot SMS. Try plugging in headphones and see if got sound. The reason the cost is so expensive is that all the components are part of the same PCB. And all the components are SMD's. So no surprise it is that expensive. If you are adventurous, you can always get the motherboard online and replace yourself. There are many disassembly videos on Youtube.A friend of mine dropped his Samsung Galaxy S2 in the toilet bowl and the phone got drenched in more than just water (he had just taken a sh*t). I think he had taken apart the phone and dried the parts with a hairdryer, before trying to restart the phone again. After one day, he tried again and the phone could turn on and seems to be working normally (can play Angry Birds), can even make call. But there is no sound, cannot hear anything even after the call is connected, and cannot SMS. So he sent to the Samsung repair centre in Low Yat Plaza and now they tell him that the motherboard has short-circuited due to water damage and need to replace with new one: RM780. What do you guys think? Is Samsung's repair centre trustworthy? |

QUOTE(Dormiens @ Feb 29 2012, 09:38 PM) I'm not lying; the broken phone call my phone and call is received (but no sound on the line), but I type a text message using the broken phone and press 'Send', and the message does not appear as a SMS chat bubble. Means can't see 'sending' or 'failed'. I find it strange also. Are you 100% sure that the problem is with the phone and not the SIM card? There is always a chance that the SIM could have gotten damaged. If the phone owner does not need it too urgently, you can always try leaving the phone in a uncooked rice container. The uncooked rice will absorb all the water. Or use those hippo things that suck up water vapour. Also, you can try using Go SMS to send a message. It might just work. |

QUOTE(ken8boy @ Feb 29 2012, 09:46 PM) Better to wipe if you are coming from other ROM's. You can always do a nandroid and then just flash the checkrom over your current ROM. If you are not happy, then can just restore your nandroid. |

I just use the X button instead.About the maxis thing, If I switch, can I retain my current maxis number? Using a Hotlink prepaid now. |

Checking out NEAK again. I really liked it but had to stop using it because it had no USB OTG support on 1.3.2x. I hope 1.4 is better. I find that RP causes the phone to crash when OC'ed to 1500MHz. Even after increasing the voltage it crashes.

You people MUST try out NEAK. It is so so much smoother than RP. I was running my RP on sio+ondemand. NEAK on noop+ondemand is so much smoother and nicer to use.
But MC3 still cannot run Edit: I think the smoothness might be due to the fact that I enabled the Ext4 boost optimisations using the NEAK app. thought the S2 uses Ext3, not Ext4. Well, something new learnt today. This post has been edited by ashwin1234: Mar 1 2012, 07:27 PM |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Mar 1 2012, 07:38 PM) Hmm. I'm on default theme wo. What!! You on CRv6 also? My MC3 used to work for a short while last time, then I just tried running it again recently and the problem came. Many people have the same problem. Even reinstalling does not fix it.Basically like others mention, I have to swipe horizontal properly. Eg if I use the phone with one hand, quite hard to just flick the notification off. And by swipe alot, I mean like have to swipe the notification for the length of say 1/3 or 1/2 of the horizontal screen for it to go off. All in all compared to GNex rather hard. Sometimes in a hurry I don't get it right. Specifically I light touch macam tak jadi. Have to drag properly. Hmm I'm on NEAK and can run MC3 without problems. Standby time is pretty good. Don't wanna contribute my stats coz my pattern generally not very the battery friendly |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Mar 1 2012, 07:54 PM) Yup, on CRv6 + Neak 1.4 + thunderbolt I always do #1. I think it might have something to do with the samsung apps version. I don't have a single playlist in my phone.Hmm, think I remember you guys discussing it. Basically kenot open at all kan? K first off, I'm on market version. And if it's force close, I remember something.Back in MC2, I got FC also. Turns ability of the game to link to playlist was a problem. 1. If you get FC on launch, try long press home button, click MC from recent apps, see can or not (temporary work around last time in MC2) 2. Delete playlists if you have playlists (permanent solution for me in MC2 last time) Not sure if it's the same issue, but since it's gameloft related, and if it's FC on launch, you might wanna give it a go (maybe try solution 1 first) |

These darn gameloft games No, as in when the game crashes, I run it again that way. I already changed a line in my build.prop. Apparently it works on Siyah kernel. I am checking it out now. |

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Mar 1 2012, 10:51 PM) This is my theory. Most of us having problem playing with MC3 are those who downloaded the Free Promotion from Samsung Apps. Yeah, but then I already redownloaded from Samsung Apps and it still could not run. After you install, you can play. It recognises your existing ROM when it was downloaded. Once we flash to another ROM, MC3 will not be able to play.... True? |
