QUOTE(mtxx @ Mar 4 2012, 02:41 PM) I have a question, how to check the memory card is what class? Plug the card in card reader, try transfer a big file to the card and see the transfer speed.I am using a very old 8gb micro SD card. Transferred it from my old symbian phone, Its working fine so far, But I'm curious what class it is. I read that class 10 is the best, but class 4 is enough for normal use. Not that I'm very perticular about it, but it's makes me feel better if I know. I bought it about 1 year ago for rm48. 4mbps above - Class 4 2mbps above - Class 2 and so on. However the speed may vary depending on your device and files. QUOTE(vincenteoh88 @ Mar 4 2012, 02:49 PM) Anytime in this month or early April. |

Just found out a piece of knowledge. Limiting frequency on screen off really does wonders for your battery. Hence why I was able to last a few days when using lulzactive (as I was limiting it to 200MHz). And now with ondemand for Siyah (which is actually ondemandX with all the goodness of ondemand and intellidemand), I find that I'm getting the same good battery life as well.

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Mar 4 2012, 03:13 PM) Oh ok, thanks for heads up! I guess i'll switch to lulzactive now. Which one u prefer, lulzactive or ondemandx? Both are ok to a certain extent. Just switch to any when you feel that it is laggy. For me, I'm currently using OndemandX (which is ondemand on Siyah). |

Demm, I have the same problem and I thought its gone after flashing the rom and kernel. After reading this post trying to listen to the music again using earphone and yeah it happen again. It freeze. Sigh, I guess its the microsd problem.Do you put all your mp3 files in the external microsd card? do you also have problem where the player randomly skipping the next track in the list saying it couldn't handle file or some sh*t? Sorry to burst the bubble to all the G defender, but I think it IS the phone problem. It is Samsung fault because of the glitch on this microsd problem. Because quite some people who never installed pirated app, flashing rom like me also facing the same problem. Maybe it about luck because randomly happen to certain user only but still it certainly faulty on the phone. Ok, maybe there's a solution or getaway step to avoid this but it doesn't cover the fact the phone have a faulty. Spending big on the phone, who knows it also double triple the trouble. Yeah, Samsung does screw it this time. Pardon me, but I just need to get this out of my chest: SAMSUNG SUUUCCCKKKKKK BIG TIME!!! |

QUOTE(lord_aminkin @ Mar 4 2012, 03:42 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Have you tried to send your phone to service center and explain in detail to them? I know it burst your bubbles, but if you just whining here the problem won't resolve itself IF it's related to hardware. It's better to send back to Service Center and let Samsung handle the problem. You need to specify how it happen and give a firm stand that if they can't resolve, do replace a unit for you as it's not your problem. Just my 2 cents, no offense... |

Anyway, but if the majority doesn't face the problem, it still doesn't suck big time, I feel you too. But the thing is it's not the non-G sucks big time, it's the G. Since you let it all out, I guess most people here felt the same, but they did not let it all out by typing in this thread, they were actually screaming at the laptop. Anyway we just hope that S3 would be for the better, or even for the best. |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Mar 4 2012, 04:16 PM) Hmm schedulers won't affect it right?I reset CPU spy and immediately turn off screen. I still get frequency readings in the other ranges. Over 10 seconds in 500mhz I'm on siyah .13 Edit : Hmm I'll go test it properly again. Did off secure mode so I don't waste time entering pattern and all to unlock device and get to CPU Spy. Did it over few mins and did get some readings in 500 and 800, but a little less. Maybe when I on and press CPU spy I guess (I offed the screen in apptray, so press on and terus press CPU Spy) Further edit : Got more than 10 seconds after 5 mins off procedure above on 800mhz. Hmm doubt pressing on and hitting CPU spy takes more than 10 seconds. Not too sure But thanks for the tip This post has been edited by ellimist: Mar 4 2012, 04:26 PM |
