Anyone tried to clean the fan of N43SL model before?
Is there any video showing this? I have been trying to search online about this and couldn't find it. The temperature of my laptop will go very high after turned on for a few hours right now. :S |

Hey guys.
I'm currently using an Asus X42 which has an easy to remove back cover and I noticed that the vents below the laptop have a black plastic covering them. My laptop is prone to heating up quickly and I just folded the plastic to allow more airflow and the temp dropped about 8 degrees C. I'm wondering whether it's the same for the other models and should i remove it? |

If you think removing the plastic helps with the temperature, then go ahead and remove it. In my case just folding is enough to reduce the temp, so I'm leaving it that way. I wonder why there's a plastic sheet blocking it in the first place if it's just gonna increase the internal temperature |

QUOTE(lionelzc @ Apr 2 2013, 06:15 PM) I found a disassembly guide here: This is funny. I don't remotely remember my A42JV having a piece of plastic covering it.
