QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Sep 20 2012, 01:19 AM) Isn't the speaker hole located above the keyboard, which is the battery area ? There is speaker hole above keyboard, but the sound is not come from there. It is come from backside, same level as battery or other like ram and HDD. Are they install wrong way ?

Dear all sifus, Im having a A42J for almost 2 years already.. sent in for warranty last year, fan problem ...causing the laptop to overheat and restart...
Now i notice that it starts to get hotter like those days already, afraid the same fan problem. My question is:
1) whether we can manually detect the fan, see if it is working or not? any software to do so?
2) if no, can we just open the back casing and check the fan? well.. i nvr open a laptop casing before.. any guide to do so?
3) btw, is there any recommended temp. control or monitor software to help monitor the laptop temperature? what is the healthy temp. we need to maintain?
thanks a lot...

1. Go to a silent room and try listen if got fan sound, 2. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1643148/+7143. HWMonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, healthy temp, if idle should be around 4xC, browsing 5x-6xC, gaming can be 7x-8x C.. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 4 2012, 11:52 PM

Ah, was referring to the CPU.
The processor supposedly have no sound, so the fan should be working.
If already 2 years, there might be dust accumulated on the vent/heatsink or the thermal paste dried already.. Which need to disassemble the notebook..
