my full time work is in office..that reno just tolong2 my friend..her house is few block walking distance from my house..so after office i just go to her house to inspect...jauh2 difficult sikit bro since attach to my existing work...but if you are in shah alam..i will intro my indon worker to you..he is good...

you can tell me what advised you want..i can advised...

not in shah alam, but nearby. cannot commit time to supervise indons while reno. but since u recommended, maybe i can trust them without me at the site all along cool2.gif

how many of them involved? if i ask them to do extension with minimum supervision, will they understand what needed to be done? what about material, do i need to purchase myself since ive zero-knowledge of know-how and know-what.. blink.gif please advice..

btw, gimme estimation date for ur small job to complete..then id know la when to remind u brows.gif

wish i can import the indon worker to kuching.. smile.gif lots of work to be done on my house.. although it's brand new, there's a lot of problems.. leakage, poor workmanship, cracks, poor materials, and the list goes on and on..

i calculate and buy the material...just upah the indon...

if you dont have experience ..just use package with material..read my thread i hv mention methhod...

i though sarawak also has indon worker..nowadays no local want to do labor work...

hmm..Lump sump labor + material. just like normal contractor la rite..give him spec, he will quote price. after i get his quotation, i come back to u again lah to verify, can ka.. cannot afford to spend too much money, i have family of 4 to feed sweat.gif

since you dont have experience to buy material...

yes..cause indon contractor and indon worker is much much cheaper as they themself do the work..main contractor they dont do the worker..and just take profit....

the problem is i don't know how to find one, and if i find one, don't know whether he's really good or not.. got quotations from 2 different contractors and the cost amounted to more than RM65k.. cry.gif brand new house but cannot move in till i get everything fixed.. doh.gif

ic...main contractor memang expensive...that reality cause they also want to take untung..mostly their untung is about 30-50%....

oh by the way, im confused of which to do first. what i have in mind are listed down here:

1) house inspection for cracks etc..
2) kitchen extension
3) plaster ceiling + wiring
4) kitchen cabinet
5) tinted
6) grill

dunno if my priorities are correct. unsure.gif please advice anyone esp tomjason biggrin.gif
FYI, my floor are all with tiles already...

Can you help me to quote estimate cost for :
1) extend kitchen area 26x5(red brick), without tiles
2) extend ground floor bedroom 12 x7(red brick) , without tiles
* 1 & 2 planing to do concrete roof, what is the cost to include in?

3) 9x8 ft wall up(red brick)
4) cement fence 63 ft

a) can u quote me 2 type of roof. one with wood and roof trust frame
b) what is the prices for main materials for construction. eg sand;red brick;steel....?
c) how to calc, how much/many should be used?
d) how start for a renovation? hire ppl draw plan, apply permit?costs?

how sifus can give me some green light. thanks

The total cost he quote me is around RM25K – 30K, but now he have inform me that he only can start work in few months later due to too many works he have accepted and ask me if cant wait better find another contractor to do my house.

Now I’m struggling to find a new contractor
