my house is 22 x 75. the backyard needed to extent to be wetkitchen = 5 feet.
Wetkitchen size = 22 x 5 feet

My scenario: Wanted to use existing door and windows panel, will add kitchen cabinet once extention done(different contractor)

According to this contractor, new door and windows needed since existing cannot fit/use(?). Anyone know why? Not sure what he meant by that but he included door and windows in below calculation sad.gif

Quotation given for extention

i. Structure with piling kayu bakau ,complete plaster ceiling & painting RM 13,200.00
ii. Concrete slab on top RM 3,500.00
iii. 2 set aluminum window ( 6’x 4’ ) + ( 4 x 4 ) RM 1,000.00
iv. 1 set solid wooden door grade ’A’ RM 520.00
Or conceal 1 set security door with installation RM 1,900.00
v. Tiling ½ wall tiles for new extension RM 2,000.00
vi. Floor tiles for new extension with ( 1’x 2’) tiles RM 1,400.00
vii. Hack original back wall and clear rubbish RM 600.00
viii. L-shape table top ( 11+8+3-2 ) RM 2,600.00
With ( 2’x 2’ ) tiles on top & (1’x 1’) tiles for base
ix. Re-locate 1 set water point with outlet for basin RM 250.00
x. 1 set water point with outlet for washing machine RM 250.00
xi. Re-locate telephone box RM 250.00
xii. Wiring for new extension
 1 set 13amp direct line for D/B box RM 110.00
 1 pc N.C.B RM 30.00
 1 set looping13amp for washing machine RM 60.00
 1 set looping 13amp c/w switch for cooker hood RM 180.00
 1 set looping 13amp RM30/per RM 120.00
 1 pc lighting point for outdoor RM 75.00
 1 pc lighting point c/w switch for kitchen RM 75.00
 2 pc looping lighting point RM30/per RM 60.00

not in shah alam, but nearby. cannot commit time to supervise indons while reno. but since u recommended, maybe i can trust them without me at the site all along cool2.gif

how many of them involved? if i ask them to do extension with minimum supervision, will they understand what needed to be done? what about material, do i need to purchase myself since ive zero-knowledge of know-how and know-what.. blink.gif please advice..

btw, gimme estimation date for ur small job to complete..then id know la when to remind u brows.gif

hmm..Lump sump labor + material. just like normal contractor la rite..give him spec, he will quote price. after i get his quotation, i come back to u again lah to verify, can ka.. cannot afford to spend too much money, i have family of 4 to feed sweat.gif

yes..cause indon contractor and indon worker is much much cheaper as they themself do the work..main contractor they dont do the worker..and just take profit....

oh by the way, im confused of which to do first. what i have in mind are listed down here:

1) house inspection for cracks etc..
2) kitchen extension
3) plaster ceiling + wiring
4) kitchen cabinet
5) tinted
6) grill

dunno if my priorities are correct. unsure.gif please advice anyone esp tomjason biggrin.gif
FYI, my floor are all with tiles already...
