Sifus, need some help here. Been searching in the web.
Planning a company trip to seoul on July next month. Around 20 colleagues most of them age between 45-60, for 6days. They don't like to walk a lot, hot weather no no. Love shopping for foods, souvenirs, clothes. Heard Korea's branded stuff is not cheap. I look at a lot tour itenary usually 6D4N, everland, mt.sorak, nami island, yeoju, myungdong, Blue House, Ginsengs, making kimchi Alright first, is Jelu Island or Nami Island/Mt.Sorak a good place to visit on July? Trying to arrange not that packed schedule, because auntie/uncles cannot run here and there also they are always late. looking at the web shows a few so called must visit places, Namsan Han River Cruise Gyeongbok Jongmyo Shrine War Memorial Changdeokgung COEX Namdaemun Dongdaemun Insadong Myeongdong Itaewon Everland Is yeoju permium outlet any good, if it's more expensive than malaysia/singapore better not waste time going there. Thanks *after all auntie/uncle go back sleep, its time for me to go see see korea nightlife hahaha, hongdae good, is it safe to go out alone at night? i dun think need to go COEX or itaewon..COEX just a big shopping mall. Itaewon is just mat salleh shopping street.
war memorial museum?? if they enjoy WWII, korean war, chosun dynasty then should go lor. Namdaemun,Dongdaemun,Insadong,Myeongdong are good shopping streets. There are only a few cheap things in korea.. just search the thread. Everland is theme park..and need to walk around..queue for rides. you can party in hongdae till morning..it's safe..just don't get too drunk and fight someone. Heard the fine is expensive. so COEX and yeoju probably not worth going right. Itaewon too.
Everland any good things for old folks? if it's only for children then no point also |

Everland is a theme park like Genting Highland or Sunway Lagoon. Even though I am not that old yet, but I am not into theme park. Just bring them to Namsan Tower, Cheongdokgung and Gyeongbokgung Palaces, shopping in Dongadaemun & Dongdaemun or KBS and MBC tv station. Even though both are tv station but they have one section as gallery and very interesting to see. Especially ahjummas.

Added on June 3, 2012, 11:35 am QUOTE(nles @ Jun 2 2012, 08:35 PM) so COEX and yeoju probably not worth going right. Itaewon too. 45-60 to Everland mayb a bit tired? since Everland is quite far from town. <1hour i think n i assume u got own private bus lah.lolEverland any good things for old folks? if it's only for children then no point also why dun consider Lotte World? got themepark n lots of other things to see too..no need to worry too hot or rain coz indoor also. Is near to KBS Building in Yeouido. Actually behind KBS main building. They call it Annex Hall. Yes, it is in Seoul. You can take subway & stop at Yeouido station or National Assembly Station Line 9.

up to you...jeju town is bigger and more happening than seogwipo.
but seogwipo has more attractions that jeju imo. but the good attractions are on West. travelling from either town will 1hr or so to most of the nice sites. if u driving, should not be much problem. |
