Now from Seoul can take MRT Gyeongchun Line to Gapyeong stn. From there take taxi to Nami Island. I think about 2km away.

Very long journey. I am ok with the journey but dunno about my sisters. If they don't want to go, then I'll go alone. I look at the pictures, love the scenary. That's why I want to go.

Bro, let say if I rent a car,how is the road condition?? Hilly?? Highway all the way?

QUOTE(ashcrimson @ Feb 29 2012, 11:48 AM)
if you look on the map its very near brows.gif but since kangwon-do's mountainous nature, getting there is not easy

the easiest way is by car of cos. if you go by bus, you need to take it at dong seoul bus terminal (dong = east), NOT from kosok or nambu bus terminal. go to jeongseon (around 15k ~ 17k). the bus is every 1 hr or so

in jeongseon bus terminal, take another bus to yeoryang. and then another bus to the platform. it may sound like a hassle, but the transportation system is very efficient

remember to board the earliest bus in the morning so that you can reach there on the afternoon, eat some ramyeon/udong and pedal the 1pm train. it's easy to pedal alone since all going downhill, but better you have someone besides you so that the other person can snap snap snap pictures

I am looking for cute t-shirt & blouses. Where should I go?? Namdaemun or Dongdaemun?? Cute korean t-shirt & blouses are bloody expensive here in Malaysia.

QUOTE(michaelyii1988 @ Mar 11 2012, 11:23 PM)
Myeongdong got lots of outlets, damn many ppl also..much prettier (got a lot of signboard.lol) in my opinion..whereas for Namdaemun, more like a huge pasar malam, price quite ok..lots of ppl also..can get some souvenir, slightly negotiable..

Dongdaemun go for the Migliore? instead of Doota..Doota all high end stuff one.. Migliore got 7-8 story all selling cheap affordable cloths..pengsan see so many cloths.lol
another street along Miss Lee Cafe? that one pricy, window shopping ok lah..

I went around Bkt Bintang & Masjid India area looking for money changer. The best rates I get was from Maybank Money Exchange in Bkt Bintang. RM2.75 for KRW1000. The rest of the money changers rates is between RM2.78-RM2.80.

Added on March 16, 2012, 12:19 pmOK, good, good. My sister in law asked me to help her to buy cute handbags, purses, bling2 for her to sell at her nite market in KK. But I don't want to bring too many cash.

Err, BTW bro. Namdaemun got this cute cute handbags and purses or not??

QUOTE(ashcrimson @ Mar 16 2012, 09:08 AM)
dear, try going at night. usually the owners will only come at night and should have access to credit card (swipe machine?)

i know there's a big shopping complex in namdaemun. dont they accept credit cards?
i was thinking of water tank. since you said something about fabrication.
