Hi,

I'm using Avast! Mobile Security. Free from the Market. You can install it for the peace of mind, after all, it doesn't take up much resources....the best thing I like is the Anti-theft feature.
If your phone is rooted, the Anti-theft feature is very good...

It can silently delete all your personal data, lock the phone, stop the USB port so that the thief cannot flash another ROM, send a siren with loud voice "this phone has been reported as lost or stolen"..., and even if the thief take out your Sim card, the siren will come on....it will only stop until you key in your password.....or if the thief forever take out the battery and not use the phone at all...

Your phone might be gone but at least the thief cannot use or sell it off...padan muka vmad.gif

The anti-theft feature is built into the phone already without the need to install avast.

Under setting-> location and security -> Remote control / Alert message recipients and SIM change alert.

But i doubt got alarm. lol

I played before gunbros, no issues leh.

But the game gets boring after 15minutes.

Got better RPGs out there.

Try avenger [https://market.android.com/details?id=com.avenger&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hdmVuZ2VyIl0.] although the graphic is not that good but the gameplay quite nice. biggrin.gif

The Avast! has a lot more feature. You can assign 1 to 2 of your friend's number...then from your friends number, they can send SMS remotely to activate various commands...

If the thief change sim card, a sms will be sent to your assigned friends that new number! You can call the thief and talk to him!

But this is only if the thief doesn't know how to flash the phone.

If the thief sells it to some mobile shop with someone who knows how to tinker, then the phone also as good as gone.

Galaxy s2 costs RM2k and you can afford tongue.gif
If you have only 10~20 apps, then you can do it manually. I have 400+ apps, no way to do it manually. Some more, you pay for it one time only, next time you change phone, you still can use it. Think in a different way and you will feel it's cheap.

Half a chance is better than no chance. Plus the app does not take up noticeable memory and no noticeable batt drain.

Having a little problem here with the S2 Mic, A lot of people at the receiving end of the call told me that they could not hear me clearly. After googling the issue it appears that I'm not the only one.

Thing is there is a temporary solution by using *#*#197328640#*#*
But how do I solve this permanently without having to type this over and over again after each reboot?

this is the full instructions i saw when I googled

choose option [5] AUDIO
choose option [1] (VOICE CALL)
choose option [2] HEADSET
choose option [1] Volume
choose option [1] SRC Speech RX Volume
choose option [5] 5_lvl : 87
press the menu button (left side)
choose Key Input
enter a value between 0 and 100, I choose 100 the loudest setting.
press ok

Biggest problem is that, when I press 5 for AUDIO, nothing pops out after that. Which is disappointing.

I believe the culprit is the noise cancellation feature.

They cannot hear you properly because of echo or the volume? Some casing / unlucky device have echo problem
