i am afraid it is true this excise duty thing. me had the same problem. two friends the same thing different place buy. i dont get it as well last time. i would have thought they clear the darn thing BEFORE they ship the car to one dealer or another
i was held back for nearly a week for that last time. but be patient sir, after they cleared the duty, then it just about registering with the jpj. all it take is 10 minutes key in this that sign this that. system okay, its all 10 minutes.

Added on August 3, 2012, 9:41 pmi felt the engine a bit warm even after 30-40 minutes the car parked. is this normal?
and in S mode, what the speed that engage the fourth gear automatically (without using the paddle shifter). last time the city needed 140kph to engage to fourth gear.

i dare not to try as i am patiently getting the engine to run in first.

Sir, my excise duty was cleared yesterday morning. Then, was told waiting for K1 from Honda Malaysia. This morning only send to JPJ for registeration. That also I probed and asked then only told me JPJ got problem since 31/7 ? Not sure to believe anymore or not.

Are you sure? The Civic FD does come with Heat Absorbing Glass though, after facelift V2 with USB that version.

Anyone got the modulo kit? Was looking at the honda malaysia website, 4670 set plus 1760 for wing spoiler is really too much to pay!

Whether or not it was my old altis or my current ride, both also got UV cut glass and without tint, parking under the sun, it's still very hot. The only effective method when parking under the sun is to have your glass tinted with a good solar rejection film.

But remember, heat will still build up in the car if you park under the sun for a few hours, the difference is the heat will disperse much faster with tinting vs without tinting.

2nd hand car dealer wants to take my car registration card now, original somemore. Car booked will only arrive ens Aug. Shld I give to them? Is it normal to do so? Thanks for advice.

I'm looking into hybrid cars now. Just went to see the Hybrid Civic and it surely looks good! In terms of size and comfort. Too bad there were no test drive being offered.

Anyone out there is driving one already? Mind sharing how is the feeling like and how is the fuel consumption like? I've tested Prius and Prius C, I like both of it too but just felt that C is too small for me and family and Prius is kinda on the high price side, and now Civic Hybrid is somewhat in the middle, which is nice!

AFAIK, body kits does not touch any of your wiring of electronic things, therefore no warranty issues... And IMHO, if they wanted to void your warranty, they have tons of excuses so there is no point to worry...
