my NCD took 4 days to be upload or online or whatdaF.
i just bashed him on the phone just now.
no more dream this week. now next week.

this getting ridicolous. how on earth something online took a few days to settle?

and he mentioned about whatever jpj tax this that i dont bother to listen at all.
are those true?
i will rain him the fire next week. an official complaint letter. in japanese.
to report about japanese brand, u got to write in japanese so that the SA and the dealer owner know where the letter is head to and how dead serious u are.
google translator?

I dun think its the sa prob..i think is jpj online system.

he just texted me about kastam excise duty?
i was like ... whaddafcuk?
kastam excise duty? jesus christ whats going on

and as for NCD, he told me last sunday when i put all the DP he was going to handle it the very next day, and by tuesday when i texted him he said done about NCD. so it was about 2 days? 3 days maximum how do i know he bluffed me or not. and he was going to handle those number plate retention thing. then i decided not to contact him until just now when i bashed him kaw.

i asked him how many f days he needs and he told me next week latest tuesday. this time i took it like he said nothing considering the earlier promise about friday and i insisted do not go beyond this week. he should have comeback and update me on this. instead i need to contact him then only he told me these shite.

i am drafting the letter is english tonight and maybe convert to japanese later. will check again with my japan educated friends

Last time, Toyota and Honda were among the first mainstream manufacturers in Malaysia which offered new features such as dual airbags, abs+ebd, vtec or vvti, and electronic controlled transmission.

Don't you think that the good resale value that they enjoyed today was due to the fact that the older Toyota and Honda cars still have the relevant features which are now just started to be used by others especially the local brands?

excise duties needs to be paid
and they usually say kastam duties
there's a link between the factory and the government and payment will be done before the car leaves the factory

it is more than just features mentioned.
long story cut short, resale value depends on either demand, or market confidence
since honda, toyota rarely sell high demand vehicles here thus great resale value must down to market confidence

market confidence born out of several key performance parameters. hard to crack, durability, easy to maintain, easy to repair, easiness to misuse (k20a haha). those features, especially the safety stuffs could contribute as well but we dont know for sure how people in the past value those airbags, abs, etc etc.

excise duty exist for CKD vehicles and if my memory serves me well, for 2.0L car it is about ... 75%? 85%? the other is sales tax which is 10%

i dont know how the arrangement of excise duty to be paid before the car is put for sale. they should have cleared it when CIF value comes out and before the car deported to customers.

Anybody think car price will reduce a bit after GE (expected Sep)? Dun think will suddenly reduce to 0 tax. If not, all Rakyat will die holding their cars (I believe most rakyat has one foreign car now)...

Maybe in the coming budget, Hybrid car buyers will get more tax exemption (personal tax)? =)

Agree, it will reduce but very slowly. Tax is a source of income for the cronies. !!!
I think it will take 5 - 10 yrs to gradually reduce price provided they dun retain power la.
I am really hoping there will be more Hybrid personal tax exemptions in the coming budget. But, still worry at Hybrid battery may Kong after year 5.
Anybody got any comments? =)

theres something called profit margin.
thats bigger headache. and not be controlled by government of the day.
there is a formula calculating car prices in malaysia. if u care enough to google around, theres an argument about persona and city, which belongs to similar tax bracket, having sticker otr price difference of nearly 50k RM.

so if u are to reduce the tax, there is no stopping for profit margin to be increased. what we need might be a law to bind the profit margin percentage i.e 20% - 30%. however that may violate free trading market somehow.
