C-segments compared, as models are split between all makes, it's kind of hard to make it an entirely fair comparison

Not a comprehensive list but compares the most talked about features used today. I've tried to make it as accurate as possible. Most of the good stuff only come in at the 120k+ price range.

Went to see the car yesterday.. Here is what i feel. 1.8 interior looks weird... 2.0 interior color combination looks better. Dashboard wise looks futuristic. I like what they did to the space between driver n front passenger very good ergonomics.

but for an additional 5k (Navi) for GPS, Bluetooth & touch screen is a bit expensive furthermore adding the Navi spoils the looks of the dashboard as it doesn't unit doesn't fit the looks of the dashboard.

I think the civic new design looks much better in black..

As for going back to SOHC.. i'm sure they have their reasons for it if not they will not make such move..just need to know what is the theory behind it

what about the hybrid civic? why less demand?

tht's one option that I've considered. but then again, assuming I plan to sell off my car in 3 years time - i believe the civic can still fetch a price of about 100K based on the price trend i see in carlist. and this will still be an attractive buy for potential buyers as there will still be remaining of 2 yrs warranty. however, i dont think mazda 6's value will be on par w civic in 3 years time, especially when there's already a newer model out there in the market. just my 2 cents

been reading through lots been said about resale value is not important. which absolutely not true. yes buy car has never been an investment and nobody saying it is an investment in the first place. so save the argument 'investment buy house blah blah blah'

except for maybe very rare ones. which surely not a single people here can afford.

resale value is actually a summarization of a brand strength. and confidence. some of the time yes demand plays a part but most of the time people just buy what they have confidence in. resale value is a good indicator whether one particular brand doing good over here or not. and mind u great resale value is not something u can have by doing business in 2-3-4-5 years. it is a product of perhaps 10-20 years of GREAT services.

we got to admit the japanese done good. except maybe for mazda but they are coming back. you may buy what ever u want but discarding resale value IS NOT WISE

the car is already in honda sg petani. and they will sort out the documents, NCD, blah blah blah. if not next week then perhaps next week of the next week. i guess this will be it - buy without test driving.

Then, wat is the purpose of the keyless remote? Have u tried bringing away the remote and ask someone to drive the car away to see how it works? If that's the case, our car is prone for theft.....

Is this full Mugen bodykit or juz the trunk spoiler? I noticed that the rear under and side under spoilers look like Modulo

yup...mine has a slight rattling sound from the back seat when it is driven on uneven road too. i believe it is the back rest too. it seems to happen only on a stretch of road on the ferderal highwat (amcorp exit to jalan 222 exit)..funny.
