Is it?

I have had this experience all way long and I did a research - Data overrides phone call/sms in 2G/Edge network.

I have been looking solution on this and trying to believe it is not a technology limitation issue. I am still trying and it doesn't change a thing.

Perhaps you can enlighten smile.gif

Cheers

I don't think you can change it, its just how edge works, we just gotta live with it

No problem, to tell you the truth, I use in reverse I use my Samsung Charger to charge my nokia...
But sometimes, I use Nokia Charger to charge my S2...
Both also can, although sometimes, I prefer to use my Nokia Charger, the output current is way higher than Samsung..
Just my opinion..

The sgs2 limits the voltage to max 650ma, so even if ur Nokia charger output 800ma, the phone will still charge at 650ma and less

Guys guys, ask you something. I lost my IMEI last 2 weeks ago and after some experiment, got IMEI back or some sort. Today ichy hand check and realized that my phone IMEI on phone setting is different from the IMEI printed behind the phone.

To restore back the original IMEI, I could only do so by going back to Samsung Service Centre right?

I know this has no harm but I am just curious.

Some kernel has higher charging such as NEAK has higher than Siyah if I am not mistaken.

Bro nicregi,if you don't mind me asking, what kinda experiments were you doing? ROM changing of some sort?

Which modems are you guys using?
I'm on XXKI3, anyone know any good modems for maxis network?

My place by right I should get at least 14mb speed, but only get 7mb on my phone.

Reception wise is okay, wifi signal also okay. But not excellent for both.

Added on January 27, 2012, 8:55 amAlways backup your /efs folder before doing anything that may potentially wipe your IMEI number.

Users of Turkbey + Thunderbolt - I have one question (I am on Turkbey 31):

Before flashing thunderbolt - i removed (with backup in another folder) all the scripts in init.d folder (read it is advisable to do so in the last version of the thread). Question is do I have to put back some of these scripts - as I notice that some of these may not interfere with thunderbolt (to my very limited knowledge).

Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just upload them here, I'll take a look at them smile.gif

Its actually pretty simple, just mount sdcard, system and data in CWM, then go install the thunderbolt zip file, then use script manager to set up the other scripts, reboot then done biggrin.gif

It's quite easy to grasp once you get the hang of it.

I'm still looking for a good modem, I'm quite bored of flashing new ROMS.

Just using 2.3.6 official ROM, I did flash the kernel to speedmod though as I find that the minimum brightness on speedmod is lower than the stock.

I prefer it dimmer as its less harsh on the eyes.

I'll wait until there's a stable ICS build before i go ahead and flash again.
I need this phone as a daily user. haha..

Added on January 27, 2012, 9:39 amAlso, i moved away from launcherpro and went ahead to golauncher, mainly because of better updates. Not because of themes.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am new to linux and android (used to work in unix long long time ago).

The turkbey scripts like 01sysctl or 07fix.sh does not appear to affect thunderbolt. While scripts like 05module, tr10ramscript or turkbeytweak may have an effect. Do you have knowledge of what these scripts will do or have you experimented with these? Trying to learn.

And one more noob question - in turkbey - we have the facility to record calls - where are these recordings stored? Thanks.
*
Didn't really look into it as the other scripts are quite minor. Recording is in /sdcard/sounds.

How to fastforward a 4Gb and above mkv blueray format video on S2??
I think it's the hardware limitation right??
Even on Galaxy Note, it's still impossible to fastforward...

Actually I forgot the player which can be downloaded from the market, does anybody know the player?
It's the only player that I"ve tried and fastforwarding a 4Gb and above movie works...

I would appreciate if you could tell me..
Many many thanks..

Nixdorf, check your battery usage.
See what apps causing it.

Also list down things like
ROM
Kernel
Modem
this may help us better identify the problem.
