Already reported my case to BNM. Received BNM auto-generated reply. Just to wait now for their feedback.
If anyone have any concerns with not receiving SMS alert from MBB ... please do something about it and together something might happen.

And please don't go and threaten MBB ... CS immune with it already and they will shut off if you do coz I think many did this to them. The one I spoke to just now sounded tensed when I asked why MBB does not want to send me SMS as I have a good case ... kept on insisting I send message to higher authority + said that their system cannot capture my request for the SMS. (Yeah right!)

Thanks for info above, SO can confirm CIMB if online transaction SMS will be sent out.

temptation1314, noted you SMS for non online more than RM500. Did you receive any SMS from CIMB for face to face transaction where amount less than RM100? Do let us know if you have transacted amount less than RM500.

The RM 499.99 alert is sent after the transaction being posted or right after swipe?

I checked Citibank Online and such alert has been setup but I swiped RM 760 on Tuesday and until today no SMS alert. The transaction has not been posted yet.

No idea, haven't swiped more than that yet. But I know Amex is posted.

Guys for all of you with MBB cards, please report the moment (to MBB and if they give any excuse then report to BNM) that you do not receive your SMS. Should you do not receive your SMS then it is a clear violation of the existing rules set by BNM.

Them sending you selective messages is not an excuse. You give them business and that's how they make money. If they are not happy with the rules then they can fight with BNM.

My experience with MBB is that they sent SMs for first time usage at merchants and ALL Paypal transaction + follow up phone call

I for one is quite happy with it as i dont get bombarded with sms

PayPal usage for USD 31.94.
DigiOnline Store RM 10 (TOP up)

The format is the same. So lazy to type >.< Hope this help

both parties will suffer some lost in resources when a fraud happends. To me, with the SMS, I can inform the card issuer immediately when someone uses my card and have the card suspended and control the damage .

So, I would like to receive SMS for all transactions done with all my different cards.

Bro, no need to repeat format if someone has posted, I must revise first post to state if different from reported format.

So for online, MBB do sent out SMS even for RM10.

Rec'd sms from Citibank for my monthly direct debit for astro.
A trxn was made on yr Citibank Visa ending XXX on 2012-01-19 for MYR135.65-Astro -Autobill(A/B). Pls call Citibank if you have any query

Swiped RM 250 and RM 150 respectively using my OCBC Ti but got no notification about it. I will call the CS soon and inquire about it.

In the first week of Jan, I never got any sms from Maybank for use of my CCs. Started to get worried about whether sms notification was activated or not.

Anyway, then I got the 1st sms on 9 Jan and from then onwards it has been pretty consistent to report my CC transactions.

* I get sms for my auto-debit transactions.
* So far all my overseas transactions got sms.
* My paypal transactions for USD 40-something also got sms (smallest amount so far which trigger sms).
* No sms when I pumped petrol using CC.

It's be low the default value of RM500.

rm0.10 autobilling from digi from my amex plat credit card.

i recieved 50 sms in one time for all the auto billing ,

aswell standard chartered i recieve for all kind of payment.

maybank2kard i recieve sms too.

for maybank amex gold charge, i have swipe 600 / 200 / 2200 do not get any sms yesterday .

Been swipe for about 6 times with my public bank credit card, no any SMS notification at all!
