So CIMB default value is indeed RM1  thumbup.gif Thanks for the info. Maybe I should ask - did you not receive a SMS for any transaction with your CIMB CC?
It would be most helpful if you guys can mentioned the amount.

Like I mentioned in item 3, if below default value no need to mention else this thread may have many pages with people reporting info that is already known.
Great info  thumbup.gif

Noted MBB SGD19 also got SMS. Did you received SMS for all your SGD transactions with MBB?

Bro, the UOB for Petrol is local transaction? IF yes, then it is great than UOB also sent out SMS for petrol besides HLB. Anyone else can confirm this?
This is good, MBB SMS Alert for RM33 Auto Debit.

Seems to me that oversea transaction will prompt the system more then local transaction. Even swiping in Johor, PJ, and selangor on the same day does not trigger it -,-

OT abit.

Because today is Saturday, I used my MBB 2 AMEX twice in the morning at ESSO. Went to TESCO and swipe three separate times there too. All transactions below RM200 per swipe. Not a single SMS. Just now at 3+pm, while I was taking a nap, stupid mobile phone kept ringing, they were persistent, I only answered the call on the third time and was really pissed off. A girl introduce herself from MBB and asked if I swiped my card 4 times at TESCO today. I said three, and she read out the 3 swipes and then said I swipe twice  rclxub.gif  I was like blur, can she count or was that done purposely?

The thing is I seldom go to TESCO. 1st  swipe at Electrical Dept to buy some printer ink, second wipe for ice cream and some snacks at the general check out counter and third swipe for 10 packs of fags. This is definitely not common for me.

So in conclusion:

1. MBB still keeping track of our spending pattern; and
2. If my card was stolen, it would have been too late as they only called me 3 hours after I last use my card.

It happen to me last year. Purchased somethings from steam via paypal 3 times and an iphone on the same day. Following a call to MBB to let them know about my purchases.
MBB called me 24hours later to confirm my transaction again. I guess multiple purchases will trigger their system

One thing I noticed for MBB SMS notifications is that you need to ensure that your mobile is switched on to receive the SMS when the SMS is sent out.

If your mobile is not switched on when the SMS is sent out - you won't get the SMS nor will there be a resend of the SMS notification.
There's still some small probability of you not receiving / missing the SMS notifications for your transactions - it happened to me once or twice but generally I do received the notifications. When I did not receive the SMS, in actual fact my mobile was switched on thus I can't detect the reasons for the SMS not being received as it should be.

Not true. I off my phone when I go singapore. When I swipe and come back from there I receive the sms of my transaction for the day.
