My experience with MBB is that they sent SMs for first time usage at merchants and ALL Paypal transaction + follow up phone call
I for one is quite happy with it as i dont get bombarded with sms |

Used my amex for a supplier to charge a payment directly to my credit card and only got the SMS after a time gap of 4 hour
Amount is 875 USD |
