I am downloading it as I write this. Could it be related to kernel - Franco cannot work on X5 version as I have tested it last night. Works fine on Apex V5
*
oh ya, miss out this important point. all the while start testing M8 till now, I'm with Apex v5.
I'm downloading latest mfm map....

I'm still waiting for Garmin to reach Android...

hah? long time ago already reach android but only unique for garmin asus. A series only, android 2.1 doh.gif

your hope quite slim as this is important selling point for garmin asus. if garmin open for all android, they might losing their selling point on their hardware. let's see next Asus padfone, whether they will adopt it or not...

My setcpu is in the photos above. Voltage settings are default set by apex v5 kernel. I did not touch it. Milestone 3 rom limit to 1.2 Ghz only but with Apex V5 I OC it to 1.35 Ghz. The various profiles setup cater to my needs might not be everyone's taste

I have not seen a single Asus Garmin phone being actually used by anyone here. Even if they loose out on hardware sales, their software sales would jump so high cos many people are used to Garmin and they would buy the app if available for Android.

Your screen is barely on.

I have observed on my Galaxy Nexus a consistent battery drain of 20% for every 45 minutes the screen is on.

From my experience, leaving WiFi and GPS on does not really affect things. WiFi needs to be transmitting data, and GPS needs to be refreshing coordinates for battery drain to occur (ie, active surfing, and active GPS navigation). But those activities involve having the screen on as well, so can't totally isolate GPS and WiFi as causes of battery drain.

the profit cannot be calculate directly on the number of user who use android... they have to put R&D into making sure garmin works with android ALL the time... R&D that they could've spend even more on improving their own hardware and industrial product..
